Roommates by Ola Tundun

I liked this book, I enjoyed the storyline and the writing style. I thought the main characters were messy (which was refreshing that they weren't perfect but also got a bit annoying at times) and I liked the journey we went on with both of them trying to help each other get better/be better people. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, after the whole will they / won't they get together, we finally got to a happy place only for them to mess up and both of them not being fully truthful with each other, it was a little annoying and left some questions, which i assume will be addressed in the second book

Who doesn't love a single dad grumpy cowboy who falls in love with his kids babysitter/little sisters best friend??
This series is really becoming a comfort series for me and one that I always look forward to visiting - Lyla's writing is such a joy
I really relate to the story of Teddy losing her job and kinda feeling lost and not sure what the next move should be, so it hit a little close to home but I really enjoyed the journey we went on with her
The emotional whiplash I got in the middle, going from a very good spicy scene to what happens the next day was a full 180 of emotions that I wasn't prepared for
I really enjoyed the narrators and thought they did a great job
- small town
- grumpy cowboy
- best friends brother
- hate to love
- single dad
- she babysits his daughter for her
- forced proximity

Overall I thought this was a little too long, nothings dragged out and the various plot lines were interesting but I just wasn't invested by the end and wanted it to be over
The MMC gave me the ick multiple times, he has "touch her and due" energy but it was a bit too much for me
I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrators
- college romance
- sports romance (college ice hockey)
- they go to rival schools

I loved this book, I enjoyed this series as a whole but this is definitely my fave and such a good way to end the series
I really enjoyed these characters and their relationship was so good and supportive of each other it was a joy
I love a romance thats got sneaking around/not telling people about this relationship for now/we probably shouldnt be doing this vibes and it was so good here, the tension building and banter was so good. I liked that it was just mainly the two of them around for the summer which gave a great foundation to their relationship
As someone who dislikes a 3rd act break up cos we dont really get to live in the happy times afterwards, the break up/conflict happens in the middle which allows lots of time for them to be happy together afterwards which i loved
- brothers best friend / teammates little sister
- age gap
- sports romance (pro hockey)
- secret relationship
Thank you to Valentine PR for the eARC - all opinions are my own

One on One by Jamie Harrow

I really enjoyed this book, the storyline was great and I was so invested in all the major and minor plotlines, I really enjoyed the writing and thought the pacing was great (fast paced but not too rushed)
- sports adjacent romance (they both work for a college basketball team)
- friends to strangers to lovers
- co-workers
This is a great debut novel and I can't wait to read more from the author

Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams

This was so cute and I loved every second of it
I love these characters, I love this series, I love Sarah's writing - this is truly a comfort series to me, every book feels like a warm hug
I loved going back to Rome and experiencing it with some new friends, and seeing all the regulars from the previous books too
I love that the main characters already knew eachother prior to the start of the book, it made the banter, arguing and chemistry between them so so good
I really enjoyed the mini snippets of flashbacks we got with emails between each other over the years, it was such a fun way to see how their friendship developed over the years
I love how supportive they were of each other and learned how to open up to each other despite their fears
There were so many scenes in this that had me screaming: the motorbike scenes, the 'let me help you block out this scene in your book' scene, the closet(!!!), all so good
- rivals to lovers
- small town
- neighbours
- both are secretly writers

I loved this book, it's been on my want to read list for the longest time (probably since it came out and I saw hype about it then) and let's just say it didn't disappoint. I love Peyton's writing and can't wait to read more of her books
I love that the main characters were always there for each other and helped each other through their struggles and helped them recover/become themselves again
I love how the MMCs looked after and helped with the FMCs younger brothers, it was so cute
- sports romance (figure skating x ice hockey)
- college romance
- found family
- they have cute nicknames for each other

I loved this book
I love the chemistry that the main characters had and how much they cared for each other
Im a sucker for a secret relationship in books and watching everyone find out about it and it was so good in this one, the amount of times they got caught or almost got caught was so fun
I love that there were so many cute and heartfelt moments bang slap in the middle of a spicy scene
- brothers best friend
