I LOVE Pride & Prejudice retellings, and I think this might be my favorite yet!

This was a pleasant surprise as Nikki Payne’s more recent book, Sex Lies & Sensibility, didn’t really work for me. But this one is just immaculate. The chemistry between the two MCs is incredible, it explores some real social issues (like gentrification), and the writing is distinctive and flows beautifully.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
Just could tell it was not for me. I know a lot of people love the full cast audio but for me it really highlighted the weakness/melodrama of some of the writing.

My first book by this author and I loved it! A really solid, well-written and well-paced historical romance with great characters. Not quite 5 stars as I found the denouement a little rushed. Other than that, perfect!

Read this with my 8 year old and we both loved it.  It’s a little spooky in parts but that didn’t bother him too much. Lovely themes of friendship and communication.
