He’s carrying a heavy family burden that keeps him rooted to where he is at. It also keeps him from loving freely. We see how the main characters navigate misunderstandings and human doubts to the end of their story. The cat fell first for him! It was very cute.
One of my favorite feat
ures in books is when authors put flawed characters in their books. Moreover when we hear that character’s thought process. Jasper achieved telling a story of filial love above all and then a romance for a new relationship. This will appeal to Hannah Grace fans.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 3%.
Not in the mood for self made billionaires at the moment that sound like certain current political figures. I'm sorry because I usually enjoy Camilla's books.

Once again, Vee squeezed my heart into a million pieces. I hated Walsh and, especially Maddy from the actions they both took on the Isles Duet. Like everything in life, Vee captures that not all is what appears to be. Flawed humans is one of my favorite themes in drama books. We get to hear their side of the story and it's as interesting as one comes to expect from this author. Trauma manifests in many ways, and this story is just one more way to show we are all in need of a little love and compassion. I highly recommend this book but please read the trigger warnings. Now I'm going to put my heart back together.

My only criticism of this book is that it appears to be using the bisexual component without purpose, gratuitously. Substitute former girlfriend with former boyfriend and it does not change the story one way or another. If it is in used, there should be a significant impact.
