Once again, Vee squeezed my heart into a million pieces. I hated Walsh and, especially Maddy from the actions they both took on the Isles Duet. Like everything in life, Vee captures that not all is what appears to be. Flawed humans is one of my favorite themes in drama books. We get to hear their side of the story and it's as interesting as one comes to expect from this author. Trauma manifests in many ways, and this story is just one more way to show we are all in need of a little love and compassion. I highly recommend this book but please read the trigger warnings. Now I'm going to put my heart back together.
