I read this book after reading Katee Roberts' Olympus series. It has the se kind of smut - intrigue (and a Hades with a sexy club/dungeon), but it feels too much like a not-as-good facsimile. The idea of a Jasmine-Jafar partnership is intriguing, but I'm not sure there was enough plot development for this to be as enjoyable for me (and the smut didn't make up for this).

Overall, I was intrigued by the book but the pacing was too slow for me and the book too long. The back half of the book is much more enjoyable & the plot takes awhile to get going. I enjoyed the politics of this book a lot and the mystery / world-building was great, though I wanted more magic. Tadek & Eozena are a riot & might be my favorite characters event though they aren't main characters.

I really enjoyed the Inheritance Trilogy so stuck with the.dieat book for awhile . But it just isn't for me. The premise was really intriguing but I couldn't quite get into it.

Gosh, I enjoyed this book even more than the previous one. The magical mystery is enjoyable, as are the many steamy scenes. But, I cannot say enough how much I enjoy the Lord Fine of it all. He is so silly and enjoyable and his growth is so wonderful to be a part of. Can't wait for the next book and am truly not ready to move into another book, because I'm still absorbing Arthur, Rory, Sebastian & Fine.

A great (and steamier 🌶️) spinoff from the Magic in Manhattan series. I actually really enjoy the character development -- particularly Lord Fine! It doesn't feel forced and is such a delight to watch happen. The magical intrigue continues & I love that we get more of Jade & Zhang. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the these first three books in the Magic in Manhattan series. Not only was it delightful to watch Rory & Arthur's relationship develop in Prohibition-era New York, but I also really enjoyed the magical escapades they had to deal with along the way. This is by no means high fantasy, but there is lots of magical intrigue & I really enjoyed the overall magical system in this book. Also, this won't be a steamy read, but there is tension-building romance that is plenty enjoyable!

There is a mid- book reveal that the suspense up until that point ... Just didn't pay off for me. And it sort of made me lose interest in figuring out how the rest of the pieces fall into place (this is a book where the "ending" is revealed up front, and the rest of the book is reconstructing everything that happens to that point).

Once I realized all of the characters in this book were unhappy, I decided I didn't want to spend anymore time with them. It's just not what I was wanting out of this book.

This is a cute wrap-up to the Mead Mishaos series! I could imagine more stories in this universe, but I really enjoyed the light-hearted adventures and the steamy scenes as well! Quick read!
