The Distance Between Us: Young Readers Edition by Reyna Grande
4.0
Rating: 4.5 Stars
I read this book for a class and I absolutely loved it! I really felt so drawn into the story and it felt sad though I was there to experience it myself. Being able to read about immigration and multiple different issues was an enjoyable read.

I rate this book somewhere in between 3.5-4 stars.
I had a little bit of a hard time to get into the story in the beginning as I felt as though we were already being thrown with so much information at the start of the story. However, once getting past the beginning the story really held my attention throughout the story. Everless definitely has many fantasy cliches and feel as though any other YA Fantasy book. However, it does alternate many stereotypes which I personally enjoyed on how they were done. The main character, Jules Ember, is a character that I definitely enjoyed reading about and learning more about her as the story unfold.
I would definitely be giving the second book a try since I truly had a fun time reading Everless and learning about the world that the book takes place in.
