Really enjoyed this one. Just enough drama, just enough hesitancy and just enough smut for the number of pages.
Both characters are flawed and I can already see the issues that may cause conflicts and I cannot wait. From what Xander revealed we are in for a ride!

What a lovely hurt/comfort story. Both men so broken and needing love. The drama was there, the feels and a little bit of angst too. I was happy they fought for their love and did not stop at anything.
The end was... OTT but I can survive that. The mentioning of them being vers off-page is a pet peeve of mine but I'll live too.
Would recommend!

Better than the first - more violence and spice in this one. There's one spicy scene where more people are present but no sharing. So that was cool. (Though I wondered: what if Patrick joined the MCs? 👀)
There was quite a bit of action, a bit of angst and lots of found family. I'm happy that Dom is a violent on-page and it plays quite an important role for the couple.
The only thing I have to mention as a negative is the typos: woman/women, than/then, you're/your (at least those I remember).

Overall a great mafia story with a boy who's hunted by a criminal. And his funny, cute and tough guy with a dad bod.

This is a better book than the first in the series. And I still loved even the first one. Why is the Unfamiliar better? Well, we have an instant connection but the characters want to keep it slow. And it definitely paid out. There is some steam, but like one scene? And I was fine with it. It was way more focused on romance and the getting to know the new family. Definitely an enjoyable short read with some mystery.

This was quite a quick read. It could've been longer but I think there was enough relationship development and also more about other characters that it was just enough. Is the story HEA? No. More HFN. But do they care for each other? Yep. They are fierce, protective and loving. So I really enjoyed that one.

Finally the development we wanted. I mean, it is not too sweet but the characters definitely seem human. And Evan finally embraces his sexuality.

I was sceptical about the characters and the chemistry between the two as the beginning is very much full of hate and pure lust and no respect for Madden. But that started changing gradually and the growth that is there? Amazing. I loved the cuddles and all the little touches and glances between the two. All the hate and roughness worked because Madden was a whore for pain and manhandling. All the choking, slaps, firm grabbing... our guy was always almost coming immediately. Lovely.

I also loved River as he turned into a marshmallow when Madden needed him. I did not expect that at all. King is still a horny asshole. Travis was also very much the way he is often is. And I cannot wait to read the novella now and also other books (and yes, even River/Paxton book too).
