Midnight Is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead

It was a good mystery if there wasn’t like fifty twilight references. I also don’t know why people think the ending is some thought provoking work of genius. it sounds to me like they died

The characters were so unlikable that I could not care less who was the killer. To me that is the mark of a bad mystery book. The Last Housewife was way better than this

I love how devoted Lindy and Easton were to each other. The biggest thing I didn’t like about this book was how the family behaved. I get it if she was like 16 years old, but she is 23. She is a fully grown adult and can make her own choices.

They were a cute couple and I love the marriage of convenience trope but the grandparents wanting custody part kinda ruined it for me
A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston

This book was probably one of the worst books I have read in a while. I had been looking forward to this book for forever because the concept was everything I had ever dreamed of. However, the execution was not good in the slightest. I could get over the whole mixing things up, running gag. But the first thing I had a problem with was her telling these characters, her opinions on their happily ever after. To you, they were fictional characters, but here they are real people with real emotions. Don't be upset when they get pissed off at your judgment. The whole time I was thinking that Anderson was just 1/2 of an unfinished ship from before the writer died and I wouldn't have a problem with that. However, we find out he's her widow and has been living in the book as a way to be close to her. That makes the love story if you could call it that 100 times worse. If a man showed up at my door months after telling me, he wasn't over his wife being like I'm ready to be with you now I would slam the door in his face.

It was good. I especially loved the ending. The middle part was the majority of the book that I didn't like. It seemed all over the place. At first, I thought she had schizophrenia because she was hearing a voice in her head telling her to kill. It wasn't until it was discovered that the voice and person in her mind was savvy that everything makes sense. However, I'll admit it's a little weird to continue to see her dead best friend, even after she remembered what happened
