While I love the concept of the book, it does feel a bit like it collapses under it's own weight. As with any book that tries to tell the story through multiple perspectives, it's hard to have stories that consistently resonate, leading to some chapters feeling like filler or less interesting. I wanted to poke this a lot more than I did, but by the end, I definitely found myself finally coming around to some of the narratives that were initially less interesting to me. My biggest issue to be honest was the shifting chronology between chapters, which I found jarring from time to time.

Just a really unique way of telling a story, structurally, which is worth a star on its own. Really quick paced, which often makes me wish there was more for whatever reason. Kinda cringe at times with the references, but they're pretty out of the way and not entirely out of place, so minimally distracting overall. Very sweet book, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Maybe the fastest-paces book I've ever read, to the point that there's almost a kind of dark comedy to how quickly horrible things happen in such rapid succession to each other.
I think the story suffers a little from the breakneck speed, needing more time to stop and breathe, but overall just a fantastic concept executed pretty well.

The last 80 pages were great, but God does this book take a while to get going, in my opinion. While I'll need some time to chew on it, this may be one of the very few times I prefer the movie. Still a great read, could just be a me thing.
