Christmas in Coconut Creek by Karissa Kinword
1.0
Frankie is supposed to be a cinnamonroll, but he is actually just a doormat. And no matter how sexy a doormat is, it's still a doormat. The vacation is really just spending time in Florida with a roommate and no work. The entire plot of this book is that they can't be together. Why? Because they live in different states. They are adults, this is not a reasonable plot. If they wanted to make it work, they could, so why hold back? The book's pace is incredibly slow. There are no true plot twists or suspense or even climax. It's just kind of like these few weeks of normal life without work, and two adults trying not to fall for each other while not trying to avoid that at all. The spice is mid at best. The hotel scene at the end is the only one worth reading. This was recommended on reddit, so I'm disappointed that I did not enjoy this book more.
A One Woman Job by Jessa Kane

Completely unhinged, capable, stalker-esque MMC of my dreams, with a daddy kink. I loved this book. It was short and steamy, shorter than I typically like my books. I found this suggested on the thirsty thursday thread on r/romancebooks. I'm so happy I decided to read this one. There were plenty of typos, but they were easily ignored.
The Stone Wolf's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells

I love these books, but I need to read something lighter in between this book and book 5 release. The plot was intense, and there was a lot of suspense. Some of the spice was in such a tragic context that it did not lighten the read.
I don't really see Wrenlee as rejected. Clay just said the truth outside the shed and then took it too far and said some things that were mean and unnecessary. But given the pack nature, his response should have been expected by Wrenlee. Once the bond kicked in, he fully accepted her, and he wished for her prior. So I don't see her as rejected.
I do love this series and this world. I can't wait to continue and read book 5.

This was a basic Mafia Arranged Marriage story. It was not particularly special, but it was a decent read.

This book was not for me. In general, I think it was a decent book. The spice was okay. The story itself was not one I would want to read again. I didn't like either character, and there was not enough suspense or actual plot to keep me invested.
The Lone Wolf's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells
5.0
Age gap, mountain man, socially awkward, lonely wolf. This was my favorite so far, mostly because I love all the tropes, but also this was my favorite MMC and I was hoping since we met Darragh in book 1 that he would get his own book. This lived up to the pedestal I put it on in my head. It was perfect.
The Heir Apparent's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells

I love Rosie and the scavengers. If I had to assign myself to a pack/group, it would be the scavengers. Keeping the setting and ages of the MCs in mind, this is a really good continuation of the series. I liked the pairing, and I loved getting to see another portion of this world.
Releasing Maladek by Victoria Aveline

I really loved this pairing. It was nice to have a human who was from a different situation. I loved her story and getting to learn about the two other worlds depicted in this book. I wish it was longer and that the author would have given an epilogue scene of her meeting the other humans. Maybe even just Vanessa and Fejo coming for a visit or something like that. Regardless, this was still a really good book.
Guarded by the Phantom by Layla Fae
5.0
It's better than Guarded by the Snake, which I didn't think was a possibility because that book was absolutely amazing. I think Phantom was the big game changer for me. I just adored him and his inappropriate banter and borderline sexual harassment. This pairing was perfect, and the plot was good. The spice was 5 out of 5. I did find two typos, though.
Whiteout by Adriana Anders
3.0
The plot was good but drawn out towards the end. Also, it was unrealistic in a lot of aspects, except set up in a more realistic world. I loved the nuerodiverse MMC, who was also extremely capable. I felt like he was really well developed, whereas the FMC was not so much. She also kept so much hidden from he, and he opened up to her. Spice was just mid, so it didn't really make up for the flaws in the plot and characters.
