3.5 stars. I didn't love the writing but the plot was fast paced and gripping. Enjoyable.

Oh how I wanted to love this book. I got the entire series in anticipation hoping to whip through it the way I did with Tana French but this really did not work for me. Interesting plot let down by its writing. Didn't like the main characters, the dialogue was pretty trite and clumsy, some bits were downright nonsensical. I get tough cop playing by her own rules, but come on. And the end was meh.


I'm not sure I'll make it to book 2.
