Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton
5.0
Holy crap. This novel was the best ending possible for this book. But is it bad that I want more? Zade definitely went above and beyond into “daddy-mode” and I definitely loved every second of it. He was on a mission and wasn’t giving up at all until Adeline was in his arms again.
Adeline’s depression was so heartbreaking. It made me cry a couple times, but I definitely think it was something real victims might go through. Which, in my opinion made it even better.

Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

This book. Oh my god. I loved it so much. I definitely loved Adeline and her vulnerability. She wasn’t super strong or independent, but she was both of those things in the best way. Zade, was definitely super super hot. Definitely a strong masculine persona from him, very protective and caring just for Adeline.
I loved the way this novel went. It messed so hard with my head but it was so so worth it. I hated the ending, because it was a cliffhanger. But I couldn’t wait to read the next book, which I did, immediately. Go check that review out

Radiant Sin by Katee Robert

Cassandra was definitely a wonderful FMC. I love how independent she is and how she is as a person to try to help her sister after what happened to their parents. She is probably my favorite fmc in this series so far, and I’m excited to see her appear in the future books.
Apollo. He was jaw dropping. I love how he tried so hard at his job, for himself and for everyone else. He’s so intelligent and by all descriptions, sexy. I love his attitude and his respect for Cassandra. I love that they ended up together.
The only thing I didn’t like was the slow burn. Cassandra pulled away quite a bit, and it felt like she never came to terms with the love until it was close to the end and I feel like I didn’t get enough of their love while they were in love outwardly.

Powerless by Elsie Silver

In celebration of the next book in the series coming out last Friday, I need all of you guys to know that I cannot wait to read it, but I’m too divulged in the Dirty Broken Savage’s series, I’m on book 4, and I can’t wait to see the ending.
But I read this beauty a week or so ago and. I loved it. As I usually do when it comes to Elsie Silver. This novel is honestly what brought the urge to read more sports romance, considering this book has my favorite hockey player, Jasper Gervais. He made me swoon, multiple times. I loved his character so much. I love the vulnerability that we get from him and how much we got to see him try to keep the real him deep down.
Now Sloane was definitely a badass. I love how she’s on a self discovery journey after some crazy things have happened to her in just weeks. But that journey was amazing. I love how Elsie explained it and how much detail she put into how hard it was for her. And OMG I died reading the angst between her and Jasper. This was definitely a slow burn, but I loved it so much.

Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas
3.5
I liked this book. I love Penelope’s writing and this book didn’t disappoint there. But I just don’t like cheating and that’s kind of a huge part of the plot. I originally read this because I wanted to see what all the booktok controversy was about, and i kind of see some points, but the hate is unnecessary in my opinion.
I would 100% recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading.

The Fae Princes by Nikki St. Crowe

This was an ending I never saw coming. But truth be told, I loved it so much. The growth we saw from beginning to end with all of the characters, and the things that people had to do. My heart hurts thinking about rereading this and having to relive the events but I plan to reread it soon now that it’s complete hahahaha.
Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune
3.75
This book was adorable. It had multiple elements that I loved, and some that I didn’t love as much.
I loved the boss woman that Fern is in the present day. I can definitely get down with a strong fmc. A huge favorite of mine were Maggie’s diary pages. Will being a family man was not expected. It is definitely adorable and I do love his and Sofia’s relationship a whole bunch. And don’t even get me started on that epilogue
I didn’t like Fern’s emotional cheating on Jamie and Will’s on Fred. It was quite off putting for me and that’s why I ranked it as a 3.5star
Now if you know me I love me some spicy scenes, and this book had some spicy scenes. For romance, they were good and were detailed enough to make it understandable. Very similar to Love Hypothesis in terms of the spicy scenes. More Ali Hazelwood, less Tessa Bailey. (Only because of the number of spicy scenes. I think all 3 of the authors write great spicy scenes)

Anything Rae Touches by Holly Caste
4.75
Like the Scarred Hearts Duet, I fell in love with ART. Holly Caste has a way with words and relatability that makes me feel seen and understood completely.
Rae was hard to love in the beginning, she was cold, mean, and just wasn’t my favorite. But as we learn more about her and what happened 10 years ago, we learn more about why she’s cold and distant.
She’s been through so much, and now someone who was potentially a trigger for her trauma shows back up in her life. But it goes differently than she expects and her life completely changes. For the better.
The emotions in ART, we’re a rollercoaster. I felt like I would be high and then low in pages and I just felt like Rae was driving me mad with how much she kept pushing Miles away.
Miles is definitely one of my new favorite male characters. He was so strong, and I love how vulnerable he is with Rae. He’s also super understanding because of his own addictions. And on the kinky side of things, he definitely takes cake for top dog. He was hot, in all the right ways. I loved reading the chapters that they got spicy in.I loved the relapse scene probably the most. The vulnerability er get to see as well as the thought process that can go through an addicts mind. I bawled the whole time, because I knew he was hurt and he was hurting terribly. And then we read Rae’s chapter and I bawled some more.
the spicy fences themselves were so hot. I loved the balcony scene the most, that was definitely sexy as can be. I love Mile’s possessiveness in bed and his control. It is definitely hot and makes the book even better.

I don’t think I have ever related to a character so much. I loved Psyche so much. Her anxiety and overthinking felt like a wave of hard emotion and feelings. But it was all so bittersweet, seeing myself in a book.
Questioning everything and everyone’s motive and move is exhausting. It feels like nobody is fully telling you the truth, and you’re always going to be in the dark on something. Which will always be true, and that’s okay, unless you’re me or Psyche.
She doesn’t trust Eros, but to save her life she has to. And I’m so glad she did. Eros was definitely not lovable in the beginning, but I loved him by the end of the book. He was so caring for her and it definitely made me think about Persephone and Hades relationship, since both men are only nice to their women.
Eros was so complex and made me frustrated, but he slowly broke apart and became lovable and an amazing character. Psyche and Eros are definitely a power couple and I love them so much. They’re adorable and I cannot find any reason to not love them.

This novel is definitely my favorite of the series thus far, it’s the second one I’ve read though so that could change. I really enjoyed Hades and his character throughout the book. He was super sweet to Persephone and I love how he took care of her. He was definitely interesting.
Persephone isn’t my favorite fmc from the series, and it really didn’t feel like she did much of anything half the time in this novel other than cry about Olympus and then do some kickass shit at the end, which Hades did even more better kickass shit but I digress.
I did enjoy the plot line of this novel and I really think it went smoothly. I enjoyed the writing as well as the dual perspective. I think that Zeus is an asshole and I know he got the day he deserved (:
