The most deliciously taboo and spicy escape. I ate this age gap forbidden masterpiece UP and left not one single crumb behind. QB Tyler knows how to write an addicting, messy romance and this one delivered past my expectations. An easy five stars and me on my knees begging for more!

A spicy modern day fairytale brimming with banter, wit, and heat! Walkoff Wedding is an absolute stunner. The writing is clever and fresh, the storyline feels familiar and yet surprises you each step of the way, and the characters are impossible not to fall head over heels for. I can't recommend this enough. Five stars!

WOW! Okay, the way this book pulled me in IMMEDIATELY and had me giggling and kicking my feet the entire time? I absolutely LOVED IT! The writing was fresh, witty, and romantic. The story was unlike any other I've ever read. The characters were complex and impossible not to love. I laughed so much, it felt like I was hearing my best friend tell me a crazy story rather than sitting down to read a book. This one will definitely be on my top reads of the year list. A smash hit!

I asked Threads to hit me with their best recs for historical romance, and this one was highly recommended. I can see why! I absolutely LOVED it. It was spicy, hilarious, and so well written! I was consumed from the first page and looked forward to what would happen next every time I picked up the book.

There were times I wanted to throttle the MMC, but hey, that's what makes me love them even more. ;)

Such a fun read and I will def be reading more from this author!
The Problem with Players by Brittainy C. Cherry

The Problem With Players is a small town, second chance, sports romance home run!

I've always been a huge fan of Brittainy Cherry. There's something about her writing that feels like coming home for me. The romance is always the star of the show, but there are so many other aspects of her stories that draw me in --like strong side characters with wise words, self-discovery and healing, and a raw, poignant way of writing that feels like hearing a story from my best friend.

Cherry captivates in this novel which straddles the line between romantic comedy and heartbreaking angst fest. It is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, a reminder that falling in love is not alway easy when we are dealing with so much as individual human beings. I appreciate that Cherry doesn't tiptoe around difficult topics -- like how depression can play a hand in even the happiest of times in our lives.

While Nathan Pierce is absolutely swoon-worthy, it was Avery Kingsley who stole the show for me. I love seeing a heroine who is so real and relatable, and I feel like many of us will identify with her rage over being pigeon holed as a woman in a male-dominated workforce, as well as her struggle with grief, depression, and moving forward after trauma. So many of us have been in situations where we react in ways we don't want to simply because we don't know any other way. I loved that about her, that I could see a younger version of myself and got to experience healing again alongside our main female character.

Also... a moment for the spice?! This is a SLOW BURN, but once these two finally give in, it's like shooting a gun at a warehouse full of fireworks. It was sexy without feeling forced, thanks to a chemistry between the two that was built with careful care and diligence.

Truly magical, The Problem With Players is tender, witty, and full of charm. Fans of small town and sports romances will eat this one up and come back for seconds. Five stars and a field of butterflies!
The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters

I devoured this! The writing was so poignant and beautiful, and the story kept me captivated from start to finish. I found myself reading way past bedtime and feeling excited every time I climbed into bed with new chapters ahead of me.

Peters writes with such poetic rawness. The Berry Pickers is heartbreaking and inspiring, beautiful and real. I felt transported in time and I wanted to scream sometimes from how frustrated I was with the main characters and their devastating situations.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys literary fiction with a dash of mystery!

My favorite read of 2024 so far! WOW! I absolutely loved this book. It's as heartbreaking as it is hilarious. The writing is fantastic, from the character building to the expertly written slow burn and chemistry. And the spice was spicin', y'all!

I love a good angsty story, and this one was packed with it. I'll never forget the yearbook scene (iykyk) and I just about combusted into flames by the time these two finally gave in. Add in the tragic story of their past and the very glaring reasons why they couldn't be together, it left a pit in my stomach as I held onto hope and fell hard and fast with them.

I really appreciated the raw vulnerability of our main characters, how they both had a little bit of "fucked up" in them and they knew it. Those things they still needed to deal with kept them from being 100% healthy and adjusted together and I totally understood that. It was a great new adult book.

I also LOVED that the characters are my age, they graduated the same year I did, and all their high school memories lined up with mine. That brought a nostalgic feel to it that I adored!

Now, I'm going to go play "In Your Atmosphere" by John Mayer on repeat because I'm convinced it's their song. I'm not quite ready to leave them yet. Five stars. I highly recommend this one to angst lovers!

I listened to the audiobook for this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. So many great reminders as a writer. I loved hearing his perspective on success, the different stages of creation, what makes a true "artist" and how to let go of the bs in today's day and age to create. Highly recommend for creatives!
