I devoured this! The writing was so poignant and beautiful, and the story kept me captivated from start to finish. I found myself reading way past bedtime and feeling excited every time I climbed into bed with new chapters ahead of me.

Peters writes with such poetic rawness. The Berry Pickers is heartbreaking and inspiring, beautiful and real. I felt transported in time and I wanted to scream sometimes from how frustrated I was with the main characters and their devastating situations.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys literary fiction with a dash of mystery!
