when will a man be this obsessed with me 

ali hazelwood wrote the same book for the 47392478th time and i ate it up, even though i had to listen to it and i HATE audiobooks 

the comfy romantasy of it all kind of grew on me if i’m being honest. the writing is still some of the worst i’ve ever read but i will see this through to the end even if it kills me 

the writing in this was so atrocious i wanted to claw my eyes out. but im not a quitter and im going to see this nonsense through even if i skim the second book

the romance felt like a reach and a lot of it was a little too sentimental for me (and i’m a very sentimental person) but it just didn’t hit for me the way i was hoping 

so far nothing ashley poston has written has managed to capture the magic of the seven year slip, and i saw the twist coming from a mile away…but i still really enjoyed this. i blew through it, and i did get that bittersweet melancholy that only ashley poston can deliver. 

i didn’t like these characters but i liked the writing and was engrossed (as usual) and i would not mind a man being as desperately obsessed with me as eli is with rue. this book is the only thing that kept me from obsessively checking the polls this election day which makes me very grateful i saved it, even though i didn’t love it the way i usually love a new ali hazelwood. also, delightful to see how unique these characters are compared to a typical AH couple. 

i thought this would be lighthearted and fun but it was actually deeply depressing and heavy, lol. as such i can’t rate it. it was well written and the story unfolded well, but i hated all of these people and it was rather dark for a synopsis that felt so enjoyable 

a short and sweet novella that was a cute read. it was a good translation and said what it needed to say eloquently 

premise was so exciting but the execution was just okay. i wanted more chemistry and different descriptive adjectives 😭 feel like she described this guy the same way for all 380 pages.
