this really was THAT good. it made me feel something all throughout, it made me think about where i’m going and when ill get there. and how the only way out is through. if you read this book at the right time in your life, it might even fix you.
What You Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama
4.5
yeah this can feel contrived or corny but also if you read this at the right time and when you need it, it may change you in ways you weren’t expecting, just like the librarian in the book does for its characters. and besides - i have always believed that what you need can be found in a library.

i didn’t mind this. i always love a bit of bengali representation but this did feel a bit unrealistic and over the top to me. i think maybe the friends i have that can relate to naomi may find more enjoyment than i did, or someone who isn’t familiar with the culture at all. i found this both too close to home and completely unreconcilable to my experiences, which is a weird line to straddle.

this was my favorite of the three, because henry is the closest to a dream boyfriend of them all. i saw a lot of myself in both of them which is probably why i liked it the most lol. creative smut as well - the painting scene went crazy lmao

the concept was interesting but the characters were deeply forgettable. took forever to read because it just wasn’t gripping at all
