Spooky Level Up by J.F. Miev, Aria Clark

Honestly, this book is perfect to dip your toes into for a short and steamy Halloween read. We have a funny little meet-cute at a haunted house that spirals into a lot of chapters with HIGH HEAT. Add in Size Difference, Opposites Attract, and Grumpy x Sunshine?? It was honestly such a perfect mix ππ€πΌ

This book was a great read! I loved the trans representation, and the ghost hunting added a lot of fun and excitement. The only reason Iβm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 is that, at fifty chapters, it felt a bit long. I think the story could have wrapped up around thirty. Still, the plot kept me engaged, and I really enjoyed it overall!

Oh my gosh, this book HURT! The way Asith's love for Dradevai never wavered, even when they were apart so long, just made this story so incredibly bittersweet. Every little moment Asith spent just thinking of Dradevai sort of, slightly, killed me (but I'm FINE). And the way Asith and Dradevai remained in love with each other after everything they went through truly made up for those bittersweet moments in the beginning. This is definitely a book with such a hard-earned HEA, but it's WORTH IT, I swear.
I've officially claimed Mysse as my fictional child

Thank you to Des for providing me with a copy to review!
I found this story incredibly touching. Many parts moved me to tears, especially due to the raw, genuine love between Ian and Alec. Des did an excellent job portraying the fear and uncertainty surrounding cancer and how it affects both the person and their loved ones. I especially loved the addition of older MC's, which we typically don't see in romance nowadays. This book also beautifully emphasizes the importance of not being afraid to say what you need, because you never know what will happen in your life.

The way this book had so many unexpected turns of events?! A good chunk of the book I spent shipping Zane x Dallas, but now I'm DYING to see Zane x Dallas x Sias (I need this in my life; I might perish if I don't get it). The whole "will they, won't they" vibe each man had with one another throughout the entire book was just so yummy.
But romance aside, this book was insanely entertaining! There was so much mystery, suspense, and heartfelt chapters with the usual hilarious moments, I just couldn't put it down for the life of me.

We absolutely love a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat but at the same time just has such hilarious character interactions! We were given vampires, oni, God's and Goddess, assassins, and a whole bunch of different fantasy creatures! Dallas is just extremely chaotic. I swear this man does not ever get a moment of peace. But you know what?? That's absolutely his charm; he's like an incredibly hot chaos tornado that just keeps going. There was sooo much push and pull from all three MMC's that, by the last chapters, I was fully rooting for everybody to get together.

The detail in the world-building in this book just honestly goes unmatched! I know it may sound cheesy, but I definitely felt like I had been there with Dradevai and Asith throughout their adventures and where they were traveling. Everything had been explained in such great detail, to the point where I saw Dradevai's feathers instead of their scales. The relationship between Dradevai and Asith was just so incredibly sweet and perfectly paced, with nothing feeling rushed or forced.
I absolutely NEED the next book to see what happens to my sweetie Dradevai!! π©

STOP, I NEED ME A MARSHALL LIKE YESTERDAY. Uhm anyways, I loved this book. From the very first chapter I was completely and utterly hooked. If you're absolutely looking for a book that's going to have you giggling like crazy over simple character interactions, please look no further!! This is IT right here. We have grumpy x sunshine, touch him and die trope, and demisexual rep?! This book is without a doubt a brand new favorite for me!!

The whole dynamic between the three was so ππ€πΌ. The way Monroe was such a worry-dom but the way he had Carrick to balance out everything with Lorne, was so wonderfully written. Lorne was such a brat, granted he was incredibly adorable but absolutely MAJOR brat vibes throughout the entire book from him (but it's okay, having two Doms worked out absolutely amazingly for him)

This book does such a good job at tackling the big question of "where do I fall" when it comes to new people exploring a more ππΎπππ ππΎπΉπ of things! Stefan was just so adorable, even when he was confused about why EVERYONE in town was inviting him to their annual "meeting". His whole journey of figuring out what he liked was so incredibly sweet as well. And Boyd?? Can someone say new book boyfriend?? The way he was so incredibly patient with sweet Stefan was EVERYTHING π«
