A book that does not want to be pitied and tells truths without trying too hard to squeeze out every ounce of meaning. Grief does not always do well under a microscope and this book does justice to that reality while just telling a story too

The science and technology philosophy of this story was better developed than the plot imo ... some of the moments of discovery felt a little flat to me compared to the density of the ethical questions. But ray gotta get his kicks from something i guess
