How to even BEGIN! This book takes you on a long beautiful ride of 10 years between two characters. I’ve laughed and loved and most definitely CRIED! Such a very heartwarming and real book. So relatable in some aspects and it just makes you want to jump right in. You feel like your part of the friend group and I never wanted it to end!

I had a very hard time getting into this book. I had to read half of it before I was able to enjoy it. It was super slow and repetitive being in Edwards mind... HOWEVER once I got halfway through I was HOOKED! I loved this so much and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I hadn’t reread the whole series right before hand... it would’ve been very nostalgic in that way.

You’re asking me to put into words how I feel about this book?! You’re out of your mind if you think I can figure out how to explain how PERFECT this book is. First of all 5 stars doesn’t do it justice! We need like 10 stars let’s double it! This book has to be the (dare I say) best book I’ve ever read in my ENTIRE LIFE. Yes I went there. I laughed, I cried, I SCREAMED!!! And I’m NOT exaggerating. There was not one “slow” part of this book I COULD NOT put it down. Is this a helpful review? Probably not but BUY IT, READ IT, and fall in love with this woman’s (Emily Henry) beautiful, brilliant mind! Beach read is serious but funny and sad but LOVELY. It makes you feel every emotion and then some. If you had to read 1 book this summer it’s this one. IM NOT KIDDING!

I love any vc Andrews book but I have to say this book seriously lacked in a lot of ways. I wanted more of a story of Malcolm and unfortunately he was only in the very end of the book. I liked the story line because I thought it was different and I liked learning about a different(?) Family but I was hoping this book would mostly be about Malcolm’s life growing up. I also was expecting this book to be much longer and I ended up finishing it in like 3 sittings.

HEAVY! Omg this book is heavyyyy stuff! I just don’t think I’m the right reader for this type of diary. As much as I enjoyed branching out of my comfort zone ... I HATED but at the same time LOVED (I use this loosely ... I liked the ending before the ENDING... you will only understand if you’ve read it) the ending. I don’t want to spoil it because I really think you need to read it to understand my frustration ... I know I’m being very cryptic and I’m sorry if you came here for well thought out review but this is who I am!!!

TRIGGER WARNING! Diet culture, drugs, rape, mental illness? Just be very careful if you are someone that is easily affected by heavy topics.
Also definitely not for YA in my opinion

Very similar to go ask Alice... almost too similar. However this one read more like a book rather than a diary. More plot and lots of detail which drew me in. It wasn’t as raw as go ask Alice which I actually preferred. I’m still not sure if this is truly a real diary or just a spin off of go ask Alice but the ending leads me to believe it is real?

I’m not going to lie the beginning was a little slow (about 25%) but once it picked up ...IT PICKEDDDD UPPPPP and I could not put this book down! The twist was blindsiding and I honestly loved it! Very well written!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I’m not sure if it’s becuase I’ve heard mixed reviews or if I just had a different picture in my head of what this was going to be but I really liked it. From the moment I picked this book up I was excited to read and that made me really happy. I love the way it took you through the years and I also really liked that it was in 3rd person. I feel like I got more of the story that way. The ending wasn’t my cup of tea but it wasn’t horrible. I would definitely recommended this one!
