When I got 3/4 of the way through and the action was still coming full-force, I thought for sure there was no time to wrap all of the storylines up. I was SO WRONG.

Took me a while to get into the groove, but I couldn't put it down after. Happy to say that only one of my three predictions (made while on page 206) was half-correct. Love when I'm wrong. Pretty twisty!

When I said I wanted a book to make me feel lots of emotions, this isn't what I meant. My heart hurts. Unputdownable. Cried in the bathroom at work. This isn't even my preferred genre and I loved it.

3.5, technically. Pacing was all over the place and it felt pretty copaganda-y at times, but it was a fun and fast-paced read! Much needed to get out of a reading rut.

My 2022 reads have consisted of so many books that make me keep telling myself, "This is one of my favorite books now." Well... This is one of my favorite books now. I've never read something written like this. It's a love letter to life and loss and makes me feel like I aged along with the narrator. I have so many things to say about it, but I just finished it and need to order a copy for my bookshelf ASAP.

Not my usual genre but it was a nice escape from such emotionally heavy books. Fun and lighthearted.

What a wild ride! It took me 2 tries to get through this - I am so bad at keeping up with so many characters - but I restarted yesterday and had so much fun once I understood what exactly was happening. I can't wait to watch this when it becomes a series.

Lisa Jewell is the queen of unputdownable yet slightly outlandish suspense.
