Someone could call themselves a hero and still walk around killing dozens. Someone else could be labeled a villain for trying to stop them. Plenty of humans were montrous, and plenty of monsters knew how to play at being human.

I love everything about this book. It's unputdownable and gives me an adrenaline rush. It's perfect I could cry.

It's funny, emotional, and heartwarming at the same time.

I finished it on the second try and I wonder why I lost interest in the first place—this book is amazing. It was intense and now I can't wait to read the sequel.

Ugh I don't know what to feel about this book. Some chapters got me, but mostly I got lost and confused. I don't know, maybe I'm just not feeling it or this book somehow lost in translation?

Here's my favorite quote though:

"Have a pity on those who are fearful of taking up a pen or a paintbrush, or an instrument, or a tool because they are afraid that someone has already done so better than they could, and who feel themselves to be unworthy to enter the marvelous mansion of art. But have even more pity on those who, having taken up the pen, or the paintbrush, or the instrument, or the tool, have turned inspiration into a paltry thing, and yet feel themselves to be better than others."<

Pokoknya I aspire to be as good as him!

I just read The Handmaid's Tale, not a long ago. So when I knew it has a sequel, I couldn't be more excited. 34 years after the first book came out, we can see a lot of differences by how the writer delivers her story. Personally, I found this one is easier to read (since English is not my first language) and the story came from three different views that make it more enjoyable. And talk about its cover!!!

It's not hard to own something. Or everything. You just have to know that it's yours and then be willing to let it go.

I have always been a fan of fairy tales but haven't read such books for a long time. Then I stumbled to this one and I instantly fell in love. It feels SO magical, poetic, and the romance in it is kinda cute. I can't get over it.

Behind them were the lights of the market, the lanterns and candles and witch-lights and fairy glitter, like a dream of the night sky brought down to earth.
