The Hideaway Neighbor (Corio Heights Book 4) by Rye Cox ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's been two years since lonely writer Noah saw his childhood sweetheart Lucas. After having his heart broken, he moved into an apartment in Corio Heights where he lives an isolated life with his two kittens. The last thing he expects is for Lucas to show up out of the blue at his door and to find out that Lucas is in fact his new neighbor.
Lucas has endured a rough two years, losing himself to his grief and ending up in a downward spiral. With his life finally getting back on track, he knows that the missing piece of his world is Noah. Can he win back the love of his life or is it too late?
This book was the epitome of a sweet second chance romance. Regardless of their differing social status the two guys have only ever had eyes for each other and I loved that even after being torn apart for two years, all either of them wanted was to find their way back to being together again.
I would have loved to see more of their relationship reforming in the present day as there seemed to be a lot of emphasis on their past relationship which personally made the story feel a little unbalanced to me.
This wasn't my favourite book in the Corio Heights series but was still a nice addition and I was happy to see the reclusive Noah get his well deserved happy ending.

Since an incident in kindergarten, Jameson Bates has always disliked Garrison Dixon. Bates does his best to avoid and ignore Dixon when he can, but being on the same Football team means it's not always possible. Dixon seems to enjoy pushing Bates's buttons and riling him up, however, deep down he dislikes their conflict and wishes to be more than the guy Bates hates.
Dixon is known for his loud, larger than life personality, he acts before he thinks and throws caution to the wind, putting on a carefree persona. Bates is his complete opposite, he over-thinks everything in his life. He's reserved, stoic and calculated and he knows his responsibilities come first and everything else second.
After Dixon finds out Bates's biggest secret, things start to change between them. They strike a deal which in turn pushes them to spend more time together and eventually re-evaluate their relationship.
Dixon and Bates were such opposites in the beginning but managed to find common ground and ended up forging a soul deep connection. Their whole relationship was so sweet and I loved all of their stolen moments and how in the end they were both willing to put everything else aside to be together.
This story had a great balance between the focus on their relationship but also their individual problems and struggles. I'm so glad I decided to keep reading this series as I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading the next one!

Fantastic short story. I really enjoyed Beau and Coops relationship and wish we could have another story about them or an extended epilogue to see how their relationship progressed in the future. Would recommend if you're looking for a sweet and sexy quick read.

Started off great but really lost its way about halfway through. Such a shame as the story really had promise.

Rhys and Lucian (aka Luci) have been best friends since childhood. Drunk and unhappy two days before his wedding, Rhys suggests he and Luci get married so that he doesn't have to marry his Fiance Olivia. Waking up the next day with heavy hangovers, both men are surprised to find that they not only went through with the impulsive plan, but also that neither of them are as upset about it as they should be.
After buried memories of the less than platonic things they did together as teenagers start to resurface, they both start to realise that maybe their closeness and the friendly love they have for each other has in fact always been something more.
Bet on Love was a thoroughly enjoyable low angst story, full of romance and plenty of humour. With a ton of happy, fluffy moments and a predictable storyline, it works as a perfect palette cleanser between heavier reads.
This book really made me smile and I will definitely be rereading it in the future when I'm in need of an upbeat and comforting story.

After accidentally finding his stepbrother in a compromising position, something awakens deep within Tyler and he finds himself wanting to explore it further with the one person he trusts the most, his stepbrother Garrett.
This was a very sweet take on the stepbrothers to lovers trope, with two guys who have always been inseparable and closer than brothers should be. I liked how we got to see both Tyler and Garrett's point of view over the years since they met as this helped show how deep their bond has always been.
There was also so much non-sexual intimacy in this book which I loved. All the cuddling, little touches and general care that Tyler and Garrett showed each other was so sweet and heartwarming and made the story even better.

Date Me, Bryson Keller by Kevin van Whye ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot tell you how much I loved loved LOVED this book! It was everything I was hoping for and more. Not only do you get a whirlwind teen romance but the story also touches on other deep topics such as religion, race and personal acceptance. The book itself was written in such a way that I felt truly connected with the characters and invested in them and their lives.
Even though the main bulk of the story takes place over just one week, it still felt like enough time to get to know the characters and for their relationship and the story to build.
The first half of the book is so happy and fun with tons of sweet moments that you will feel to your core. Every subtle look, small touch and hand hold is something new and exciting and feels like a big deal.
In the second half of the story things get a little more angsty surrounding their relationship and issues with family and friends. I tend to enjoy lower angst books, however, I really enjoyed feeling the emotions in this story even though it felt like more of a medium angst read for me.
My only wish for this book is that we had even more of the story, especially towards the end. I want to know what happens the next week and the week after that. Does Kai get to write the school play? What happens when they both go to college? I need more of their amazing story!
There are certain books that you read and they just stick with you and Date Me, Bryson Keller is one of those books for me. I can already tell that this book will definitely become one of my go to comfort reads! ☺️
