Bet on Love by A.F. Zoelle
5.0
Bet on Love (Good Bad Idea Book 1) by Ariella Zoelle ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
Rhys and Lucian (aka Luci) have been best friends since childhood. Drunk and unhappy two days before his wedding, Rhys suggests he and Luci get married so that he doesn't have to marry his Fiance Olivia. Waking up the next day with heavy hangovers, both men are surprised to find that they not only went through with the impulsive plan, but also that neither of them are as upset about it as they should be.
After buried memories of the less than platonic things they did together as teenagers start to resurface, they both start to realise that maybe their closeness and the friendly love they have for each other has in fact always been something more.
Bet on Love was a thoroughly enjoyable low angst story, full of romance and plenty of humour. With a ton of happy, fluffy moments and a predictable storyline, it works as a perfect palette cleanser between heavier reads.
This book really made me smile and I will definitely be rereading it in the future when I'm in need of an upbeat and comforting story.
