Dead Rinker by Ruth Stilling

This was…not great. The storyline seemed pretty jagged and wasn’t as fluid as it could have been. I didn’t feel as though the characters had any real depth or actual chemistry. JJ was kind of adorable but there was a huge missed opportunity to have him really woo Kate. She seemed a little cold, and it really bugged me that their whole relationship began with my least favorite trope: miscommunication.
The spice always seemed to come out of nowhere and went from 0-100 real quick. No woman that is 5 days postpartum from twins is that eager to have your d*ck in her mouth. Calm down.

This could have easily been 200 pages shorter if you took out every mention of eye color, celibacy, or being famous (just to name a few). The whole thing was so repetitive I feel like it took away from the actual storyline. I like a slow burn, but good god, get on with it!
