A bit rambled at the beginning but got better. An interesting conversation about internalized bias and struggles overall.

A 14-year-old becomes a nanny and cook for immature adults. Has racist and horrible parents. All gets fixed with a song. Not kidding.

I enjoyed Honey Girl. I think the ending was a bit rushed but it was nice to see a 29-year-old who has no life plan.

I received this book for free from the author for an honest review.

Honestly, I was blown away by this book. The mystery surrounding the nine siblings and why they had to part ways was intriguing. The pace was well-formed and kept me turning the pages. There were several life lessons here. Don't care what other people think and it is never too late to try are the big ones. I can not say much without spoiling but know this: The Hobbs family has so many secrets the come spilling out in many ways and by the end is fully resolved.

This fell a little flat for me. I was looking for more of a memoir-style book and this was a bit more of an overview of the sexist policies and how they changed. There was more about the fact Pan Am flew for the Vietnam War than about the personal lives of the women who worked as stewardesses. I found some of it interesting but missing that personal touch for me.

It was a book. But seriously, It wasn't really anything I needed to know to continue this series. Anne Boylen vibes for the second story.

This is my first time reading Kazuo Ishiguro's work and from the other reviews, I have much to look forward to with the other books. This is a strange concept but in a good way. The description of the book is only the first part, there is so much more to this story. It ends in a sad but resolved way.

This is the sequel to Three Dark Crowns. It is hard to review without spoilers. There was no lag in the story, there was always action or a reveal. I know that was the main complaint of the first book but this is not a novel of characters just talking about things. One star was dropped only for the repeated action to one character that was witnessed before as being immune to that action.
