I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this one. This started off so fun but then the second half's pacing was just off. The ending scene felt sudden and I just can't get behind the idea that the corporate flower shop wins. I just needed more from the second half.

This was beautifully written and i loved how it felt like reading folklore. That being said what kept this from being a five star read was it often felt like things were just too easy for the main character and the pacing was really o

I was very excited for this book as I really enjoyed Dear Mothman but I feel like this book somewhat missed the mark.
It was very cute and I think the representation was well done. But I do think this sort of painted the adults as villains any time B didn't have things go their way. It was just unrealistic. No way is a foster family going to get a dog for a kid after just 24 hours let alone one that reactive.
I think this book would have been much better if the adults in B's life had done more to help set expectations for B when it came to gooseberry. There were so many missed opportunities in this book. The whole thing was just a little too unrealistic to me and i think will set unrealistic expectations to its target audience.

I like that we are starting to see more of the overarching story now.

Terribly predictable and definitely not a thriller. Just a bunch of people who clearly need therapy being awful to each other.

Very cute and fun i just have a hard time with the "daddy" aspect of it. I think if you're into that, though, this is very well done.

Perfection like everything Robin Kimmerer writes. This book is short and succinct while leaving a big impression behind.

This was a disappointment. The authors refusal to develope the characters rather than just telling us how they think and feel really hurt the story. This could have been so cool. The world building is so cool but it suffers from having cardboard cut outs that just constantly do things rather than fleshed out characters.
