Ishiguro is fast becoming a favorite author. I lived this one too.
Klara's bargaining with the sun reminded me of my religious deconstruction although the sun pulled through for her

This was awful. I would have DNF'd but I used this for a reading challenge prompt. What a horrible waste of words.

The ending was weak imo but u enjoyed the ride! I think with a different ending it could have been five stars. I know this genre is controversial but I really enjoyed this particular take on it. I don't think this romanticized mid-life crises at all.

I liked this quite a bit better than the first book, however, I think that's that's to the narrators and the fact that this content was all novel to me unlike The Handmaid's Tale where I had watched the show.

I really wish I had read this before watching the TV show as I think it impacted my enjoyment a little as I was anticipating ahead and not able to enjoy the moment.
The Historical Notes at the end blew my mind! Totally made the book for me

Super informative! Very entertaining and engaging. The way the events weave in and out is nice for contextual purposes but did make it a little hard to follow at times.

Really interesting read that left me with a lot to think about. Definitely idealistic and not everything written about is fully feasible in our world today but a lot to aspire to!
