Star Wars Legend books can be hit or miss, but this was pretty good!

I liked this a lot more than The Island of Doctor Moreau! I thought the character of the Invisible Man was super cool and interesting. Wells' stories are also super quick to read, at least in my opinion.

Great art, great writing, nice message. I probably won't think about it again though.

It was cool, but nothing special in my opinion. I got 50% in before I found out there was infidelity (I hate infidelity in books) but I pushed through. It wasn't too bad in context, but it still pissed me off a little. I always love Stephen King's writing and characters, but I didn't care about the characters in this.

I absolutely loved this. I love apocalypse stories, and I really love Paul Tremblay's writing. This was a beautiful, fast paced book, and I loved it.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.

I just really wasn't vibing with Miri. I know what she's going through is hard, because I understand the situation, but she has such a bad attitude in my opinion.

Much like Oedipus at Colonus, I found this extremely boring. There was once again no real intrigue in the events that were happening, and I feel like everything fell flat. I loved the women in this story though, because they always stood their ground. I think my problem with Greek plays, or maybe just with Sophocles, is that all of the big events that happen are always told to us by a messenger or an outside force, and we often aren't in the mist of the big event that happens. I think that's why everything fell flat for me.

This was just fine. I liked Oedipus the King more because there was actual intrigue, and it was a very "damn, that's rough" kinda story, but the second installment didn't really have that. Honestly, it reminded me a lot of Children of Dune for some reason, and that's my least favorite Dune book, so there ya go.

I finally finished it, and I thought it was just fine. The writing was nice, and the story was interesting, but it's not really my thing. I do love classic horror though, and I'm happy I finally read this.
