Cool, but too short in my opinion. Art was nice though.

I've always wanted to read something from this author, and I think this might be the only one I read. While it was a quick read, and it was very cinematic, so it was good for getting out of my reading slump, I usually prefer more flowery writing with good quotes. I also wasn't a fan of a lot of the language used in this book, especially the language towards the creatures. Besides that, it was an interesting concept, and it was a quick read. It made me think about the kangaroo dudes from Tank Girl.

not bad! the only reason i wanted to read this was so i could watch the 2001 version of the movie with josh hartnett in it (because i'm obsessed with josh hartnett), and i'm glad the book wasn't bad! even though all the men were terrible, i thought the women were actually pretty great.

also, if you're like me, and you hate infidelity in books, it doesn't actually happen. i didn't find it very triggering at all!

This was not it. I've always been interested in this author's works, but he might not be for me. I don't think this is horror, I just think it's this guy's take on death. I didn't really like most of his takes on death, but I did think some lines were funny or sounded cool.

I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this! I usually don't like vampires, but I really enjoyed this. I liked the sapphic parts, as well as the vampire part.

I finally read this haha. I thought it was very cute and quick to read, but there were a lot of elements or tropes that I usually try to avoid in queer media. I hope those things will lessen as I continue the series, so I'm not too mad about it. I also just prefer adult romance, and usually I prefer an edgier or gritter atmosphere to my books, romance or not.

I liked most of the new characters, and the writing was super easy to follow, but there was a lot of talk about
breeding,
and that was weird.

I went into this blind, and I had no idea it was all fantasy. I liked some of the stories, but most of them just didn't hit for me.
