I dug into this one and binged the 3/4 of it in a day. It portrays the many struggles many women go through when trying to have a baby and highlights the not-so-flattering aspects of what it means to carry a life inside you. There are some excruciating descriptions of miscarriage and birth. It is especially frustrating how the men in her life write off her pain and concerns. Overall, I enjoyed the suspense throughout this story and how it was wrapped up at the end.
I LOVE the idea of witches reincarnating themselves generation after generation.

This one felt a little more tame. Not as much going on. The twin thing was interesting but overall a little boring. But it’s a nice, easy listen.

Now, this is the kind of story about motherhood I can get behind. It portrays all the fears,  apprehension, and longing I feel when I think about what having a child would do to my life. So many high highs and low lows. I loved the author's writing style; you get right in the main character's head, and her thoughts become yours. It got pretty abstract at the end, but was a truly unique piece of literature.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.
I could not get into the audio book's narrator. I'm going to have to try again reading it myself.

You can tell a different author, RIP Stieg Larsson, wrote this one. While Lagercrantz’s core writing style was similar, it was much quicker-paced and a degree or two more raunchy. I’m glad it’s the same narrator for the audiobook. All in all, I did like this book. Especially the parts with Lisbeth and August and the mathematical complexities of hacking.
It was fun finally getting to meet Camilla. What we heard of her character so far was very interesting. She sounds like the worst person in the best way.

There was a lot of build up in this story and a shit ton of added characters. I’m actually starting to keep everyone straight. I absolutely loved the last bit of this book as there were many, “hell ya” moments. #GirlPower This is kind of a feel-good series, because so far for the most part, all of the main protagonists come out on top. I’m not mad about it. It’s may comfort read at the moment.
Most of the focus was on Lisbeth and her trial and uncovering Zepo and what they did to keep Alexander Zalachenko (her father) a secret.

Another great, slow-paced novel. The author has a way of painting a pretty detailed picture of all of the characters I loved. There are so many details that it allows a reader to get lost in the tale. There was a lot of misogyny in this one, and so many characters whose names start with B. It was incredibly hard for me to keep them sorted out 😅 I’m thankful that Larsson repeats certain events and circumstances so the reader is never left questioning what is going on in the end. This ending, however…… I had to start the next book immediately.
I am absolutely in love with the title connection towards the end of the story.

This was quite the psychological horror. I’m not a particular fan of a deep sea setting. You’ll never find me on a submarine for any reason. I couldn’t help but think of the recent OceanGate fiasco while reading this book. This book’s horror descriptions didn’t strike a nerve compared to his other novel, The Troop. It’s much more of a mental mind fuck.
The ending was meh, but it did hold on to a small level of chance threw the end

This is a fantastic audiobook. The narrator is terrific and brings each character to life. It is a bit dense, and I was a little lost with who was who for a while, but after a while, I got a handle on everyone. I absolutely love Lisbeth and Mikael as characters. They’re exceptional in their respective crafts—the ultimate revenge plot for both characters.

This was a captivating, quick read for me! I was instantly sucked into the allure of beauty products that can transform my deepest insecurities. This book touches on the toxicity and all-consuming ideology of the beauty industry, plus the barely concealed racism people of color experience.
The ending of this story got pretty weird, really fast. One of those inevitable implosions of a corrupt corporation that pushed things a bit too far. It wasn’t my favorite, but I guess it left some kind of closure.
