This was a captivating, quick read for me! I was instantly sucked into the allure of beauty products that can transform my deepest insecurities. This book touches on the toxicity and all-consuming ideology of the beauty industry, plus the barely concealed racism people of color experience.

The ending of this story got pretty weird, really fast. One of those inevitable implosions of a corrupt corporation that pushed things a bit too far. It wasn’t my favorite, but I guess it left some kind of closure.
