"I am scared. but you...you make me feel like I don't have to be."
I am going to need Ki to write my personal love story into existence because I continue to be obsessed with her stories of the SOFTEST, SWEETEST, HONEST love ever. The way that Liam and Birdie built their relationship from a friends-to-lovers standpoint was everything to me, their foundation of trust, safety, and overall friendship created such a gorgeous love story that I was a puddle on the floor by the end of it.
Ki is always going to write two softies who just want someone to see all of them and accept/love them for who they are and Birdie and Liam are prime examples of that. I fell in love with Birdie so fast. I understood her and was rooting for her unlike any fmc Ki has written to date. Liam was such a good friend and person, I adored the way that Birdie showed him the love he was missing, they just fit so well together that I was a soft mushy mess.
This continues to be my favorite series from Ki, each book is somehow better than the last. Ki's writing is captivating, honest and so full of soft love that I am never going to tire of it.

You Float My Boat by Lulu Moore
medium-paced

Childhood crush turn fake dating is such a specific trope that I continue to love and Lulu Moore really did a great job with that. This book had my heart fluttering non stop. Violet and Charlie were swoony, cutesy and funny. I loved how their relationship grew in such a natural way, like the more they discovered about each other the more in love they fell. The third act hurt but it also felt real and made sense so I appreciated how the end played out. I just adored getting to watch these two fall in love!
I liked that this was happening at the same time as book 1 so we got to see Oz be down bad for Kate again. I am excited to see where this series continues to go as Lulu progresses with it.

A Peyton Corine book never fails to make me feel ALLLL the motions within its 400 plus pages. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I fell in love with everything that is Ro and Freddy. The tension and the angst that grew between these two had me on my knees. These souls feel unlovable at times through different means and it is through learning about each other and loving each other they see that they are some of the easiest people to love and they were just not being treated correctly before. This author is great at emotional depth within a book, having characters with so many layers it feels like you know them all personally. The found family in this series is unreal, emotionally I was wrecked by the timeline of this book occurring at the same time at book 1's but I will happily be hurt again because it was beautifully done. The softness of the love between these two was so pure. The balance that was showcased by this author between love and grief was so tangible that it caused my heart to squeeze for these characters. I adore this series and continue to fall head over heels for these characters and this universe. You don't want to miss this one!

okay, Tessa is always a favorite of mine but something about this series is hitting DIFFERENTLY. This one especially had the yearning dial turned up to the point that Mrs. Bailey broke the dial completely off. The way that their relationship grew had my heart in a vice grip. The friends-to-lovers pipeline was sweet yet so painful because the insta-love was so intense. I think that Tessa knocked the tension right out of the park on this one, their chemistry was dripping off the page. Chloe was such a fun fmc and I adored the way she loved Sig. Sig was classic Bailey overprotective, grouchy mmc but man did he melt for his woman and I was so here for it. The forbiddeness of it all played out differently than I expected, I felt like she shocked me a couple of times at the end there. These two had a rocky road for their HEA but it was worth every page to see them so happy in their epilogue. ADORED them.
This series is everything to me and I was so incredibly thankful to be able to ARC read this one. I loved the way she set up Corrigan and Skylar's story, their banter at the baseball game had me kicking and giggling.
