The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle

This was a reread for me. And I loved it even more.
Tears still flowed.

Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe

This book was fun. Watching Margo grow and see her relationships change was really well done. The ending felt a little forced but otherwise, really enjoyed it!
The Sequel by Jean Hanff Korelitz
3.5
Thank you to celadon and Netgalley.
I loved The Plot. So I was kind of shocked to see a sequel, but was also thrilled to get an early read.
There were parts of this book I loved and there were some that I just couldn’t let go of that much belief. At times the writing just felt like unlimited inner dialogue from Anna.
Overall, I flew through thjs one. And I def recommend for those who enjoyed The Plot! I do think you must read that one first.

The Night We Lost Him by Laura Dave

Thank you to the publisher for a free Netgalley.
First of all, whoever is advertising this as a thriller is hurting the book. This is a mystery w family drama and the aftermath of losing a parent. Not a thriller.
But I still really enjoyed this book. I loved our main character and her relationship with her brother. I loved reading about the past of her dad even if the relationships are far from conventional.
The ending was a little unexpected but also not. And I’m ok with that. Loved it.

Ladykiller by Katherine Wood

Thank you to the publisher for a free copy of this upcoming new release.
Katherine Wood spun quite the story here. Gia and Abby have been friends since they were teenagers. Abby's mom worked for Gia's dad, but supported Abby in her raising After a traumatic event when they are 18, Gia and Abby's friendship changes. Years later, Gia wants Abby to fly to Sweden for her birthday. However, when she gets there Gia is not.
Told in alternating perspectives- Abby's and Gia's through a manuscript she is writing-- we slowly find out what happened to Gia during recent events. I found Gia's manuscript to be a tad more interesting than Abby's perspective. I enjoyed the plot overall, and liked the ending for the most part.
Definitely recommend this fast paced suspense novel.
