Kind of hated it, it felt like it was going around in circles over the same point. Not bad, just didn't pique my interest.

I think it's inappropriate to review a book documenting one of the most atrocious periods of human history. That being said, I also feel that I didn't fully understand the book, due to my reading comprehension or background, I do not know.

Long review warning:
It took me 4 years to finish the LOTR trilogy and this was my absolute favorite book out of all of them. I wasn't a huge fan of the Fellowship or the two towers, but I pushed through them and I'm so glad I did. I absolutely adored every page of Return of the King, especially the ending which I felt was so well done. I have a tendency to hate how books end, but this one really was just brilliant. I would gladly do a book report on this book and also on the character of Eowyn. Eowyn is such a fantastic character and I could go on and on about her but I don't think this is the time or the place. I would definitely recommend this, even though I couldn't stand the first two books. The Return of the King really sold it to me! <3

Första romanen som jag har läst på svenska! Det var en vackert men sorglig historia
, när jag läst om hur livfull Bengt var, sen att han har dog ensam jag var så jävla ledsen.

I had to read Candide for a history course, and I loved it! This surprised me because I have a tendency to despise assigned reading, but Candide was entertaining, fast paced, and absolutely ridiculous. It was fantastic

I love Szabo's books, the way the characters are written is so brilliant. Each character is so multi-faceted, everytime I start to form a steadfast opinion on onw of them I'm caught off guard by another level of the person. I loved and hated and loved the characters from start to finish. My main complaint is that the novel felt like it was ended too early. The ending was so exciting, I was so attached to the characters and then it felt cut off and left too open-ended. I loved this book but the ending, or lack thereoff, was disappointing.

I've gotta admit I watched the TV show 1st, so I'm a bit biased. But, I really loved this graphic novel (collection of comics?). The art was so unique and gorgeous, and the twists and turns made the whole story so brilliantly fun. I'm a die hard fan of the show, but the comic is a great story in and of itself.
