After our main female character accidentally hurts her uncle: when she loses control of her magic, she goes to the family's cabin in the woods with her familiar to hide under the radar. Where she meets a rugged mountain man who likes to swim In the lake naked, and push all her buttons. 



I admit the smut was on the edge of too much for my taste but I really like the flow of the book. 

This book feels like swimming with bricks on my feet.

It's slow and repetitive.  

Maybe it's because I just finished another book with the same premise, and it blew my socks off....this one.... made me put them back on so I could leave

Do I like miscommunication trope? No
Did I eat this book up? Absolutely 

I feel like if you liked the bridge kingdom this book will be right up your ally

Was it new and ground breaking? No

But if you like worlds full of the stories, most of us grew up hearing and learning... but with naked men (no spice) this is a fun fast pace read. 

The main character is taken to a world kind of like ours but what is fiction on earth is their real life there. 

She is 25... so why does this read like a YA but with some spice? 

Why is there so much modern lingo in this? 

Everything is painfully predictable.  

The FMC is obviously seeing impaired, delusional or something because how you not put two and two together? 

The MMC could put her in a box and tell her it was a presidential suite and she would believe him. Without question

And she just does whatever no training nothing.  I was hoping the queen would come through with her plan end my suffering.

Wayyy better than iron flame, but still some meh in there. 

Not understanding why everyone is tore up over the ending. For a cliffhangers it was... lack luster.

DID SHE JUST LEAVE IT OPEN TO HAVE MORE CARDAN AND JUDE!!! 

I am vibrating with just the thought!

I liked this book was a good book, but it was all over shadowed by what cardan says at the end.

Sooo... this is VH1 (early 2000's) "love" finding shows mixed with Goblet of fire??

I originally just picked this up to clean my pallet before the next series I jumped in. Why did it make me feel all the feels? 
I didn't go into this thinking I was gonna curl into the couch so no one could see me fighting for my life to hide tears reading 2 people healing themselves with each other..... and several farm animals. 

I 100% will be reading the next brother's story too. Gotta make sure milkshake is doing well
