I kept flipping between enjoying this story and haaating the anxiety it was giving me. Finally decided I didn’t like it enough to keep pushing.

Always happy for queer representation but this book was way too angsty for me.
There were too many garbage behaviours that went unaddressed and unexplained.
The age of the characters was also really confusing, maybe as an Australian I just couldn’t understand how a middle schooler could drive?

Things I loved: the characters, the representation, the art style
The story was a bit boring though. It’s been done so many times, it just didn’t seem to go into much depth or do anything beyond what other superhero stories have already done.

I love this series.
Some parts of this book were a bit too dark for me, but I got through them.

I loved the art! The characters are so beautifully crafted and the colours and costuming add so many layers to the story. Such a beautiful sci fi trans coming of age 💕

Looove the world and the characters. Seeing an actually fat character who is heroic and lovable was such a glorious delight.
I struggled to follow a lot of the scenes of the ships out in space, particularly the action scenes, but I could grasp enough to follow the story.

Thought this would be a good way to read Les miserables. I definitely need to spend more time reading manga to fully appreciate it - I have a hard time understanding how the strength of emotions are displayed.

Very fun and silly romp.
I just wish we’d seen more character growth in Henry, he’s such a selfish dick right to the end.

This isn’t the kind of book I’d usually read so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. A delightful romp through the psychology of a group of people in a very silly situation. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded and we slowly learnt more about the characters.
I felt the ending went on a bit too long. I don’t think everything needed a neat little bow. I kept being surprised to find another chapter when the story already felt satisfyingly complete.
