This hurt me. I don't know why I didn't expect it to, but this was an emotional punch to the chest and I think this book deserves more recognition.

I loved this. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did because the fact that it's romance mystery was throwing me off (not a huge romance fan). But it all tied in together so well, and the romance flowed beautifully. The progression of everything was just so perfect and I could not stop listening.

This was very repetitive and boring. There was also a lot more editing mistakes than Magnet, which I read a few weeks ago. Maybe the repetition was supposed to convince the reader of just how meticulous the process was and how careful they were, but it wasn't necessary. This is a short story less than 20 pages long about, I'm assuming, the creation of a character in the larger parent series. I will read Faith, and I will read the first Lacuna book to fully give the series a chance, but this didn't do it justice.

The fact that I have to wait so long for the next volume is killing me already.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.
I just have zero interest in this book, and at 31% through I feel like I should maybe have some slight interest in it. I'm not going to waste my Spotify audiobook hours on something I'm still not interested in.

I mostly really only cared for the essays. The short stories were fine, but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed reading the essays and learning about the thought process of Cixin Liu when it comes to his writing.

This book was intense and the narrator did an amazing job. Salvaged was very well written and I was surprised by how quickly I got wrapped up in everything that was going on. Definitely a book I did not want to put down.

Yet another amazing book. I could not stop listening to this and finished it in one day. Andrew Joseph White really does not miss.

This is the second Andrew Joseph White book I've read, and this was much more in-your-face than his debut novel was. Which isn't really saying much, because his debut novel was also extremely in-your-face, but I'm not saying that as a bad thing.

This was aggressive, and the aggression of the writing fit the story's plot, the story's message, and the current-day irl timeline. The most subtle part of this book was Miles's discovery and acceptance of being aromantic, and even that was very obvious. To me, anyway, because I know what that all looks like from being a part of the community myself, both with the aromantic spectrum and the autism spectrum. But the author didn't try to hide it in pretty language, it was all just a background situation to what was actually going on in the story.

I loved this, though. The ending was a little too neatly-wrapped-up for me, but it wasn't so bad to the point of altering my opinions about the rest of the book.
