Oh No I Crashed a Spaceship and Kissed an Assassin is a super fast and quick read, I'm obsessed!

~ Don't stress about anything, read it for the vibes! ~

We first meet Elana (the FMC) running away from these dragon like aliens who abducted her from Earth. After hijacking an escape pod, she manages to crash land at Alien Hotel.

Cut to Sutek (the MMC) who works at the Alien Hotel and protects the exiled Prince Rist, where the two of them assumed Elana was a hotel critic about to review their new business.

*whispers* she was not 😄

I would say more but it's a really short book with only 114 pages so just read it because it's soooo good! 😜

Okay...

I really liked the world that The Orc and the Innkeeper created but I wasn't in love with the two main characters themselves 🫤

While the start of the book was entertaining, I slowly lost interest with the pacing and lack of character development.

I even paused this for a couple of week because I didn't want to DNF it 🥲

Personally, I didn't feel like the relationship between Mariah and Thorak was organic enough, especially since he was her high school bully and did leave her traumatised.

While I'm not up to date with the Icehome series—and the other one with a name I can't remember lol—I loved loved LOVEDDDD THIS NOVELLA 💗

It was so cute seeing all the babies grown up (ish) and how everyone else is doing 🥰

Tho it did take me a second to connect the babies and parents... looks like I need to reread IPB again! 😜

This is the first time I've ever heard of Galatea and I hope she's living her best life in the Underworld.

Like someone else reviewed, beautifully haunting (and men aint shit)

Not bad, but a little long imo...

~ This is definitely a toss up between 2 and 3 ish stars ⭐️ ~

I really liked how different Bridget and A'tam's story started—even though it was really bad—and how even though they fought (a lot), they actually had a really sweet friendship (again, when they weren't fighting).

Loved the pottery storyline ❣️ I can't get enough of Not-Hoth.

Keen to read Steph's book next and I can't wait for R'jaal's book !!!

Loved the stories and Stephen Fry's execution in the audiobook ❣️

Personally took me a while to get through but it was still enjoyable.

The more I think about this, the more I love it 💞

~ so I'm bumping up my rating ~

It took me a second to get into Jane in Love but once I got a hold of the pacing and era (1803 vs the 2000's) I WAS HOOKED 💃🏻

After a failed engagement where the suitor in question proposed to his second option 😒 Jane travelled to London where a woman / witch offered to help Jane find her one true love.

Sleeping outside to avoid her family, Jane woke up the next day under a pile of theatre curtains where people in Bath, London (present time) were rehearsing her book / play.

After a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, Jane got the help of Sofia Wentworth where she met her brother Fed, HER ONE TRUE LOVEEEE ❤️‍🩹

But due to her time travel, Jane's collection of books were slowly disappearing as she lived out her heart's desires in another time.

And basically... Rachel Givney broke my heart with the ending of this 😭

Jane in Love was a pleasant surprise, I'd absolutely recommend it!

~ Also, before reading this, I was looking for a book that started with the letter "J" and while my book club recommended Jane Austen (herself), I never felt the urge to pick up her books.

But now !!! After reading
Jane in Love ??? I'm keen to read her books !!! ~
