Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.
This is far too slow for me. It’s very lovely writing and very warm & cozy feeling. But I’m not in the mood for a slow meandering story. Probably will come back to it eventually.

This was another joy of a read from Alexandra Vasti. She crafts such marvelous, fun, mysterious and spicy regency stories.

Arthur you are always always worthy of love my dear!! Seeing Lydia come out of her shell after book one was such a joy!!

I love the mystery & action involved in this story. That made this for a very interesting read.

The banter and dialogue are top notch!! And the spice is delicious!! Easy 5star Historical Romance!!

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Romance: 💋💋💋

This was a very sweet little take on a Historical Regency Romance. With a huge twist….time travel

When a current times hockey player, Tuck, ends up in 1812 Regency England and meets the tenacious pushing boundaries Lizzy. You get a cute fluffy little romance. Fish out of water vibes. Marriage of convenience. One bed. It’s got it all.

I wish there was a little more depth to this story and maybe slightly more conflict. This was a little bit insta love and I couldn’t really see why they feel for each other.

Over this was a fun light read.

Blown away. Honestly. I wasn’t sure at first. There is a lot of pain and sadness in the first 50% of the book but the payoff by the end leads to a deep, thoughtful and touching story with just the right amount of spice.

I was sobbing at one point.

I like that the book had flashbacks, as this couple were high school sweethearts and having marriage struggles. I liked being able to see how they started and where they went.

Hannah’s books have all been amazing. Must read for sure.

This was amazing. The narration was wonderful. The love story was amazing. The magical realism time travel thing was such a good side story. Serially just loved this. Loved the full cast and the conversational story telling.

This was an audible orginal production and thus does not read like a traditional book. No he said, she ran etc. it’s happening as if you are there listening in. You do get some inner monologue times but mostly it’s the immediate conversations that carry the story.

I laughed out loud and cried and swooned and fell in love.

This was a short audiobook at jsut over 5 hours and I absolutely loved it!!

Ugh. This one was a miss for me. The only conflict was a decade old miscommunication from a 19 & 20 year old. We spend 60% of this book with the characters just be so mean. Like so so toxic. When all they needed one apparently one conversation and then it was whiplash into spice. There was a lot of cliffnoting, like brief descriptions of weeks of time. It got very annoying after while. Even the flashback chapters seemed to not really do much for the story line. At no point in the first 60% of the book was a cheering for the characters to work through things and get together, so when they did I was not invested at all. They went for zero to 60 way to fast.

I got this ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

This was a lovely little love story. Far sadder than I was anticipating, but when you are dealing with a lot of death that happens. I’m glad the FMC started therapy at the end of the book. I just wish that had been sooner. Callum was such an endearing character and I really loved him. Lark’s journey was pretty week done, I just kind feel like her eye opening sorta happened really fast at the end. It was hard to be convinced she was actually in love.

The side characters were some of my favorites in any book. I was so sad with Maeve’s story.

Outside of this being sad it was a lovely story.

Also f*ck Sean!
