This one didn’t hit as well as the first in this series. It definitely had some very sweet moments. Loved all the side characters. But the two main characters were pretty cringy at times and the chemistry just wasn’t there for me. Overall it was a sweet story but not my fav.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.
The writing was wild disjointed. Way too much of a struggle to get past that. Dry writing and disjointed.

I have so many more new questions. This was easily the best book in the series so far!

Unhinged: Yes (honestly need trigger warnings)
Spicy: maybe too spicy 🤪 as in it got repetitive *please note this is a situation where sex is like a currency and some very weird stuff happens.
Love Triangle: my least fav trope but was done well here
Tem’s Age: She is 20 but somehow feels way more like a teenager
Insta Love: Yes

Also the way timed passed felt off. Tem often talks like months and month have gone by but it’s only been a few weeks. She would say things like “back then” referring to something that happen a couple weeks prior.

Wish there was deeper world building and less Tem
Not believing anything anyone tells her about how they feel about it her.

I don’t know how to rate this. Part of me says 2 stars part of me says 5 stars. It’s a strange experience.

It’s deeply sexual. With an underlying interesting plot.

It ends very fast. The ending was actually a bit of a let down.

Leo was end game for me but well the ending.

Tem’s constant doubt grated on me. But watching her develop was interesting.

This was a much slower read for me as even the vast amount of spice didn’t really hold my attention. And it got repetitive.

Let me just say though the Challengers Non Canon extra scene in the Indie Version was EVERYTHING I wish the book would have been.
