This was written from the son’s point of view while reflecting on his relationship with his father and his sexuality through letters and discussions with his therapist.

This book was amazing! The realizations and depth of knowledge he gains about himself is so powerful!

It’s the second book in a pair and I cannot put into words how good these books are. I am not one for character driven novels but you need to read them!

I really enjoyed the story! I love the way Wanda writes and creates deep characters, with a difficult past. The mystery and complexities of her job and lack of diversity was all so great together.

I really enjoyed the premise,  the little political portions, plus the Huston TX setting . The storm and all the plot points surrounding that was so entertaining!

But the second half felt like mainly inner monologue from Meena, less story movement. I loved how the author wrote and the second chance romance was sweet. I definitely see why it’s likened to Sweet Home Alabama.

This was a very interesting and entertaining read! Think Station Eleven mixed with a second chance romance. I really enjoyed the glimpses into the beauty of humanity mixed with the chaos / fear in losing all you know. There was great action, thought-provoking issues, and character development.

The storytelling and writing is just gorgeous! The narrator’s voice was “too soothing” for me and I had to check my concentration more often than usual.

This was such a profound book! It is from the viewpoint of a Black father who knows he failed in accepting and raising his gay son. The understanding and need to break the history of “how you were raised” is a main theme. It presents an honest perspective of two sides of every story. Wow, it is such a great read and I really liked the Kansas City setting.

This was an incredibly interesting and entertaining read about The Oregon Trail. I absolutely loved John’s character and Naomi was extremely likable as well. There is definitely some heartache but it really made my mind think about that time more than I ever have before!

This was SUCH a fun read! I loved the characters, the plot and the end. It was along the same lines as to How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days but it’s own story.  I loved that the FMC was my age and her dating and mothering can be very relatable!
