Started and finished this on my flight today. I enjoyed the story immensely but I personally struggled with the heavy amounts of Japanese phrases, words and lingo I had to constantly Google. Hard on a flight, but it felt like every 10th word was something I had to look up. Some could obviously be figured out with context clues, but was a bit tiresome. I recommend reading when you’re in a place where you can search for words you may not know already.

Think Clue mixed with Black Mirror. Highly recommend. However, if you struggle with multi-character novels, this may be a bit more difficult for you to follow.

Started and finished in one sitting because this was just too good to put down! Highly recommend for any fantasy lover.

This was a perfect, lose yourself in a slow burn love kind of read.

I was intrigued by the premise then entirely let down by the lack of empathy, social awareness, and overall blatant disregard for following social norms as taught to the author by the people they were interviewing.

Whoa. A great read but ultimately disturbing as hell.

Really enjoyed this one! It’s been a while since a vampire story pulled me in but this was extremely well done.
