This book was quite cool! I listened to it via audiobook, which was narrated by the author herself.

The one thing you’ll notice about this book the most is the unique writing. It’s a style that you’ll either love or hate. Personally, I liked it! There was some moments where I felt it was a bit too much with the description, though. However, the writing was absolutely beautiful at some points, it was really nice.

Laura is exhausted. While working, she sees things like ghostly figures, and it leaves you to question… is this actually real? Is this just sleep deprivation, or is is a ghost story? In my opinion, this book did an amazing job of creating a scary atmosphere for these moments.

The only negative thing I can really think of is the ending, which left me quite confused. I wasn’t really sure what happened, since it seemed to conflict with the rest of the book.

Overall, it was an okay book! It’s not something I have strong feelings about, but a nice read nonetheless. A very unique book.

To keep it brief; It was okay! This isn’t a book that I have much strong feelings about. There was some cute moments here and there. This book is a light read, so you’d probably be able to finish it quickly when you pick it up.

However, I felt that the whole murder mystery part was lacking. As a person who likes murder mysteries, I felt there was almost nothing regarding the murder, except for that 1 big clue that occurred with the uncle. We just got lore-dumped on at the end, explaining how the whole murder occurred.

Also, this is not enemies-to-lovers. It’s insta love. Don’t let the blurb fool you.

Apart from that, this book was fine! I give it a 3.

(also, what happened to winn’s nightmares? did they suddenly go away? i don’t remember that really being explained, unless im wrong. it’s alright though!)
