<blockquote>“Light it up, Danika! Light it up, light it up, light it up!”
</blockquote>
I didn’t try to cry but I indeed did cry…multiple times
<blockquote>"Through love all is possible"
</blockquote>
The amount of times I’ve had to stop reading to pace back and forth outside my room and to stare at my wall with my mouth gaping is striking
But this…yeah this was amazing!
<blockquote>"I’m coming” - “Ithan?” - “Bryce, I’m coming, we’re all coming."
</blockquote>
I did take a couple of months away from this but I’m glad I found my way back to it because as soon as I started reading from where I left off I felt an even bigger connection with the characters! While I did experience heartbreak while reading this I also had my heart mended back together time after time - and I enjoyed every bit of it.
<blockquote>"One wolf remains in the old square. A wolf - A true wolf."
</blockquote>
➸ Second time reading: 5/5 stars!
AND I CRIED ONCE AGAIN!! I am so glad I got to experience this book again because I think I truly needed to come back to these characters. I love them so much but I am so scared to read the next book.

<blockquote>“The greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life was to love you, Wendy, darling.”

Well this was crazy but like in a really good way. I finished this within the span of a couple of hours and I feel like that should tell you how good it truly is. I am also proud to say that I imagined Hook to be the Hook from Once Upon a Time – AMEN!

<blockquote>“And at long last, Aelin Ashryver Galathynius was home.”
</blockquote>
Did this take me forever to finish…? YES – but that's not the point here, the point is that I finished it. This book was stressful to say the least because I didn’t know what the book was going to go next. This was honestly so action packed but slow in certain places too (which is why it took me forever to finish).
<blockquote>“But would you bleed red, or black?” “I’ll bleed whatever color you tell me to.”
</blockquote>
DORIAN!!! HE IS HIMSELF AGAIN! Literally one of the best parts of the book was reading about him overcoming the “darkness” inside of him. Manon in another lifetime is actually my wife – ! I can not wait to read more about the connection between her and Dorian though. They are the definition of golden retriever boyfriend and black cat girlfriend and I’m all here for it. I loved seeing the character development of Manon – she is by far one of my favorite female main characters.
<blockquote>“Have you come to save me at last, Aelin Galathynius?”
</blockquote>
Reading this quote for the first time was my roman empire BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? My mouth honestly still hasn’t been picked up from the floor yet.
I honestly don’t have a lot of things to say about this book – maybe I am in shock knowing I only have three more books left before I end the series I’ve been reading since I was 17. Me and these characters have come a long way and it's so amazing that they’re almost to their forever happy ending.

<blockquote>“I will love you for the rest of my life,” she whispers against my lips. It’s a promise, coming from the most loyal woman I know. “Forever, Blue.”
</blockquote>
After months of reading this off and on I finally finished – it felt really good getting back to this universe and being with some of my favorite characters. I will ALWAYS love Zander and Stevie – they’re literally my EVERYTHING but I love that I got to read about Ryan and Indy’s love story.
There were certain parts of this book that were really slow for me and that's why I feel like it took me so long to finish this book. I wish this book was 100 or 150 pages shorter than what it was. I thought it was longer than the first book on certain days because of all the filler pages.
<blockquote>“Sometimes the quietest love is the loudest.”
</blockquote>
This may sound crazy but I thought Ryan was too perfect that but I still love his character. Indy on the hand was too emotional for me. Don’t get me wrong I AM AN OVER EMOTIONAL person too but Indy was too much for me sometimes. I did love how Ryan loved Indy in so many different ways, because sometimes it really is the little things. When he learned ASL and paid for her fertility treatments I was SWOONING! He never had to tell her all the little things he did for her but finding them out later had me crying! (valid example of how me and Indy are similar)
P.S. I hate Alex and all of Indy’s previous friends – Indy’s friends reminded me of high school mean girls who still think they are in high school.

<blockquote>“My life to yours. My breath become yours.”
</blockquote>
This book reminds me of an early 2000s fantasy movie in the best possible way. I love the pacing and how everything just fits really well. The characters are some of the best written and really likable. Even the villains are likable enough because you start to sit and think well, what are their true motivations to the reason they are the way they are?
The twist and runs of this book are actually really fun to witness and try to piece together. This book was mostly action and character driven. I loved all the fighting scenes and it by far made the book as great as it is
<blockquote>“Warbreaker the Peaceful”

Some people may say that this is not Sanderson’s best work but I totally disagree. It is very lighthearted and the plot puts you in the position of the characters, it is like a 3-D experience in book form if that makes sense?
One thing Brandon Sanderson can do is create a freaking magic system that has never been heard of. Every time he creates a new one I am immersed by it. The use of color as a grounds of magic was a great decision especially because I’ve never heard of it used before.
<blockquote>“You locked me in a closet, he reminded. You should apologize." “I’m not going to apologize by killing someone.” "Just throw me in there," Nightblood said. "If he’s evil, he’ll kill himself.”
</blockquote>
I know Nightblood is a talking sword but good God he was hilarious! I wish we got more scenes with his banter. I loved his “affection” towards Vivenna. I am totally a Vivenna and Vasher shipper! They would make the perfect couple and I hope when Sanderson writes the next book he plays with their connection a little more.
<blockquote>“I suspect that the mountains are beautiful, as you have said. However, I believe the most beautiful thing in them has already come down to me.”
</blockquote>
I know he’s not a big “romance” writer but the small bits and pieces of romance from this were really sweet especially when they were between Susebron and Siri! They are my babies and I will defend them to the end. If they have no fans that means I am dead! I knew by the way Susebron was being described early on that his actual personality would not be a reflection on who he actually was just how it was when it came down to Vasher. I mean Vasher isn’t a saint or anything and he honestly gives off that Damon Salvatore character drive (a “villain” who in the end wins your heart).
My last part of this review goes to Lightsong…I love Lightsong. Lightsong can do no wrong. If I were run over by a car and I noticed that Lightsong was the person driving said car I would apologize to him. He is just such a great side character — no to me he’s more of a main character because I loved being a part of his POVS.
It’s safe to say that this book deserves more hype in my opinion. I did go into this scared because not many people talk about this book but it is AMAZING and I think more people who want to read within the Cosmere universe should pick this up at some point.
