Another cute little story
Aww. This was a cute little story. I particularly loved the agony aunt angle, and the bargaining between them was hilarious.

Faith has had a crush on her neighbor Andre for four years. Wanting some advice, she decides to write to Dear Hattie because, at this point, she feels like this crush is one-sided.
Her brother is leaving for three months, so they decide to have a night out at the local bar, and Andre shows up. Needing to get away from Andre, she excuses herself to the restroom, and when she comes back, she finds out that her brother is reading her Dear Hattie post out loud to the whole bar, including Andre. She is so embarrassed and tries to tell her brother to stop, but he can't hear her over the noise in the bar. He gets to one part of the letter and realizes that it's Faith's post, and he feels horrible. Humiliated, she storms out of the bar.

I've read almost every book by Cassie Mint because I love her writing style and her characters. With that said, I loved the characters in this story. Faith was witty and Andre showed that he could keep up with her. The scene with the Dear Hattie column I wanted to die from embarrassment, even though it didn't happen to me. Now, this book is right in the middle of a medium/fast pace storyline. We see both characters being head over heels for one another, but they seem to be holding on to different beliefs. After the column incident, Faith puts herself out. Will Andre accept his feelings for Faith? Or will he keep pushing her away?
If you love a good age gap book with some steamy scenes that will keep you wanting more, you will definitely love this book. Their love story is so cute, you can't help falling in love with these characters.

Good grief, Cassie! You released another adorable Cherry Cove book that I devoured immediately? And now I have to wait for Dear Hattie just like I waited (✋️patiently, I might add) for all of the previously interconnected books? Well, OF COURSE I loved this book.
This book was so worth my patient waiting and calendar marking. She weaves the details from previous stories without beating a dead horse over the previous couples. Yes, we saw the two girls from Books 1 and 2 in the bathroom, but it wasn't anything obnoxious or repetitive. And the casual detail about the table in the diner could have been hammered home MORE. I have already lined up my schedule for the Dear Hattie release and seeing as I've done this song and dance for the past three books, that's all the review I needed to give for how enjoyable this series has been. This book was sweet and short in the best way. Nothing was agitating or exaggerated for me.
Ever pleased with Cassie Mint, I will only continue to endorse starting this series. She's doing something here yall....

I honestly love this story. The whole outing of her secret and the angst that followed only added to the beautiful love story. They were both so sweet and understanding of each other; they talked and communicated. And Andre being a cook was just top-tier for me.

“God, I bet it’s like heaven in there.
You going to let me in, sweetheart?
You gonna show me how good you feel?”
