I was drawn to read this book as I thought the copy+paste screenshots/letters every chapter were a really fun idea. However I couldn't finish this. Not only was there hardly any plot, but the author introduces random characters and it's really hard to keep track of who is who. I felt confused and irritated reading this and for that reason I couldn't finish it.

nothing really happened? the back story seemed so much more interesting than the story that was actually being told, don’t know why she decided to tell us about a mundane three months in her life instead of the events that led us here.

also was expecting it to be a lot funnier considering it was written by a comedian. that might be rash and presumptuous of me, but if you’re a comedian who’s chosen to write a book, surely you would lean into that? no? maybe she’s just a bad comedian. who knows. i always preferred lucy beaumont anyway

Listening to this book felt like speaking to an old friend. Those friends who are different but you love them regardless of how awkward they can be or the inappropriate things they blurt out at times. Well written without the need to have an Oxford dictionary beside you. Truly enjoyable
