I can finally be rid of this series that’s had me in a chokehold. The series is a bell curve, it gets good, then it goes back downhill. BUT if you like unhinged soap operas, you will enjoy this. It makes no sense and it’s problematic often, but damn if it isn’t entertaining.

I like these brothers. Not sure how I feel about the next generation yet... Conway's story took some warming up,.but worth continuing.

This one bored me quite a bit. In the 1st 30% everything was already taken care of from the end of book 5. The rest was mainly adelina and cane trying to work on a relationship which I didn't like how the characters were acting with one another. I'm glad this series is over.

I had to check and see if this book was going to be so easily resolved and it was. It was almost identical to crow and pearl, which was disappointing. It seemed like the author would have rather continued their story. However, I grew to like Cane, who seemed a lot gentler than his brother.

Finally got the chance to read this amazing book. Its so bitter sweet to say goodbye to the Barsetti clan but I couldn’t imagine a better ending for any of them. Not only the happiness these two deep and brooding men got but also the happiness that these two strong women got to experience. I will always think of them not as characters but as family with the way Penelope writes, it truly makes you feel as though you are in this world with them not just reading their story. Thank you for another great get away from real life. I can’t wait to read what you have in store next.
