A bittersweet ending to a fabulous series. Family is the key to this story. What started out war among brothers ends in a love and support that neither one of them ever thought they would see. Money is now not the power but family. I loved reading about the relationships between Crow and Pearl as well as Cane and Adelina. I am so going to miss the Barsetti Brothers. All in all this series deserves more than 5 stars as it took the reader on an emotion and heart-wrenching journey from the opening pages until the last one. Penelope Sky never disappoints.

Pearl and Crow take up about 1/4 of this book, which is about 1/8 too much IMO. Pearl almost turns into the whiny romantic lead who doesn't know whats best for her and is too stupid to have a single thought.
Cane is not a good guy either and once again some scenes are questionable when it comes to consent, but less so. Everything in this series is a notch tamer. Adeline is enjoyable and I like her more than Pearl because she thinks for herself and is dedicated.
These two pick each other time and time again and that is what is redeeming for this series!

This was a solid wrap-up to the series, if it was a bit tame. Adelina never quite did it for me, and even Ms. Sky didn't seem to really latch on to Cane and Adelina. She continued to focus on Pearl and Crow, even though this portion of the series was not supposed to be about them. Meh, it fell a little flat but it was fine.
I would only recommend this to readers that have already read earlier books in the series, otherwise this isn't really worth picking up.
