Really fast read, I listened to the whole audiobook yesterday because it was really entertaining. Do I feel like I got to know Jinger or Jeremy a bit better though? Ehhh, yes and no.
There were things Jinger opened up about that were previously unknown to me, but the biggest focus was on her relationship with Jeremy. Now, that was interesting by itself, but I was hoping for a bit more background info aside from that.
I did learn a lot about Jeremy though, and I do think he's a good match for Jinger. Somehow, the whole back and forth with Jim Bob didn't surprise me one bit, I'm glad it all worked out in the end.
Now, if you're expecting to read about Josh and how it affected the family, this is not the book for that. His actions are just glossed over like "one family member did something bad and we dealt with it together as a family end of story".
That did disappoint me, but at the same time, I can understand not wanting to talk about that in a book that's meant to be about your relationship with your husband.
Either way, I'm going to be reading Jinger's next book soon, I'm curious to see more about her faith journey.

Super sweet and really good. Mostly it's their love story but also really good thoughts about how to know when God is calling you to something, especially to leave something. And yes I have more (happy) emotions about this but they can wait for now.

I was so excited when I initially saw this book coming out. I read it quickly and felt inspired at points. I enjoy hearing the stories of how her and her husband met each other and grew together. I have followed the Duggar girls (Jessa, Jill, Jinger) for a while.

Very interesting to hear about how their faith is a part of the every-day things in our lives. Presents the authors as very down-to-earth ordinary people. Sharing faith without being preachy.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, but definitely missing any parts that made it interesting instead of just... sad.
Like, I'll pray for them. That's the nicest way I can put it.

This reads much like the other books written by the Duggar family. We get a backstory of the family, how faith and their religion helped them and how they want to help others today.
As a follower of the Duggars for years, I knew that Jinger's marriage was a bit contentious in her community and with her family and this, as well as Jim Bob's hoops for men to marry his daughters, is talked about it this. It is talked about very well but is not the "dirt" some may have expected.
Additionally, the private matters that happened within the Duggar family when the children were younger is talked about, briefly, and not expanded on. I respect this decision and really have no notes.
All in all this is a book introducing Jeremy and a bit more about Jinger. Nothing new, exciting, or even truly that compelling. Same find faith with us, because we are different message found in most books like this.
