Easy Nights is a story of two people that have loved each other since they were kids, two people that haven't been able to be together...until now and their story is heartfelt and vividly emotional and endearing.
Easy Nights is the final installment in the Boudreaux series and I have to say that when starting this book, it was quite painful for me because I have fallen in love with this family and I just don't want to let them go but I also have been on tinder hooks waiting on this story and I was so excited that Savannah and Ben finally get their happy ending when we have seen these two dancing around each other the WHOLE series.
Savannah and Ben have known each other since they were kids. Ben is the best friend of the boudreaux boys, so he is a few years older than Savannah, but they have been best friends for ages. Savannah, has been in love with Ben since she was a teenager. But then she married another man, Lance, who had been abusing and terrorizing her and when her family found her barely alive two years ago, Van found the courage to face up to who she had become and fight for what she deserved. We see the outcome of this attack in book one, so we see her become stronger over the couple of years that the series has progressed. So when we come into this story, Van is finally emotionally healty again. Ben has been waiting for Van to be healthy and strong again before making his "move" because he loves Savannah and wants her in his life and he already has her brothers pushing him in her direction anyway, so no problems there. Even though Savannah is worried about something going wrong in their relationship once they take it to a new level, she also comes to the realization that she deserves happiness and that she needs to take that leap of faith and claim that man she has loved for as long as she can remember.
I honestly adored this book because we see them finalizing their love story, and there isn't too much drama because they already know that they love each other and have for the longest time. But due to Van's abuse she suffered (which was pretty horrible), Ben is so patient with Van. I really adored Ben though, because he may be a bit alpha male at times, but more in the protective sense. He runs a gym that offers fitness classes and once he learned about Van, he started women defense classes. I loved his well balanced character though, he has such a kind heart and is so sweet at times. He just "gets" Savannah, and understands her and loves her so sweetly.
But there is a plot to the story other than the romance between Ben and Savannah. There are things happening that just don't add up and it seems that there is someone out to get them and destroy what they have.
We learn that Savannah's past is coming back to haunt her again but what I adored was seeing her face up to her past and FIGHT and even though the way she does it wasn't what I would have done because of how she hurts her brothers and Ben in the process, I did love seeing this woman who has suffered so much overcome the fear and pain and become such a fighter and never loses her own self worth and confidence.
Such a perfect and heartwarming end to a delightful series that is beyond charming and witty!!! I can't wait to explore other books by this author, because Kristen Proby has me addicted now!!

This, right here, is everything I’ve ever wanted in my life. She fits perfectly in every way. Her body is absolutely every fantasy I’ve had, but more than that, we fit together like this, curled up together, like two pieces of a puzzle.

You didn't just survive, Van. You thrived.
You're the strongest person I know, and I'm damn proud of you.

You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don’t work without you.

First things first: I love you, Miss Kristen Proby.
I've been waiting (impatiently) for this book. I can't help it! The -loved you since childhood- scenarios make my heart melt.
I obviously devoured this book because hello, anything she writes is magic in my eyes.
I found this to be a beautiful, rather quick read. There's that huge family I love, steam and passion.
With that being said... I felt a weird sense of dejavú when I was reading. I think the plot was a bit predictable. I've read a few books VERY similar to some of the things that happened.
Overall, I still really enjoyed the chemistry between both characters.

So worth the wait
I have been waiting for Savannah and Ben's story since the beginning and I'm so glad I finally got to read it because it was definitely worth the wait! Savannah has been through hell and back and finally ready to move on with her life and Ben wants to have Savannah in his life as more than just a friend, so get ready for the combustible chemistry that has been building between these two for awhile. You don't want to miss a single word of this read it will have you hooked and you won't be able to put it down until you see the words "The End". Another great series comes to an end by the amazing Kirsten Proby!

Good ending
I loved Savannah and Ben since book one of this series and have been routing for them since. I loved their relationship and how genuine it was. I hated having to wait until book six to get their story, it was so worth it though. Honestly I'm not really going to say to much because it a romance book and as I said I loved this romance. This was a really great way to end the series and I very much enjoyed it.

I was expecting so much more from this book. The 6th installment in the Boudreaux series follows the last Savannah Boudreaux get her chance at a happy ending. Throughout the series we get glimpses of her life and by all accounts, things seem to be hunky dory. Until they weren't. Sensitive issues were dealt with in this book, which were heartbreaking but empowering. Savannah has always had a thing for her brothers best friend, Ben Preston. But timing and fate is not on their side. After the horrific things that happened to Savannah, Ben decides he is going for what he wants and what he wants is Savannah.
I didn't like the writing and tone of the characters, especially Savannah. She was like a yo-yo, back and forth, back and forth. She was also contradictory and annoying at times. Things also moved very quickly and I felt there were times when I was missing pieces of the puzzle. Like Ben's Mom and her whole situation. Still not sure how that fits in to anything.
What started off on a high note and enjoyable series, ended with me feeling lackluster and disappointed.

Book received from author for an honest opinion !
So this book was really interesting! I felt like I should've read the other books in this series, mainly because I am so very anal about reading things in order, but because it was a stand alone I went with it. This couple it seems like were a long time coming, kinda like second chance but not really since they never really went for it in the beginning. Ben was an amazing man who had been so very in love with his best friend's little sister for a very long time, when she gets married to another man he was in pain! & I felt for him! Luckily they get their HEA & manage to make it through the dark past that was hanging over Van's life. Very happy for this couple!

The whole series I have been waiting for Savannah and Ben. It's been hinted at. If you are new to the series I would suggest reading from the beginning, each book is about a different couple but as the family expands we see more of them in the next book.
I was interested to learn that both parties are nervous about pursing a relationship due to their close family connections and history.
A sweet story with some serious undertones.

Savannah Bouderaux is the last siblings story that is being told. Van is a survivor of domestic violence.
Ben is the Bouderaux brothers best friend and apart of the family, Ben has always been in love with van.
Ben ad Van's relationship has always been complicated but once they both have to put their fears aside and the attraction for each other is off the chart crazy HOOTTT!!!
Their romance was easy and uncomplicated just what it should be like when you both have known each other for a long period of time.
